want higher rear ride height w/o airshocks

I bought some springs from Mancini Racing a couple of years ago for my 69 Barracuda, and got the set with an extra 2" lift built into the springs. I don't see them currently on their web site though. My rear springs were sagging really bad so the 2" lift made the rear end of the car higher...

    Helper Springs Question

Hello All, This isn't for my Barracuda, but I wanted to get your input. I have a 98 Dodge Ram Van 1500 with the 5.2L (318) and a 47RE (I think) Automatic Transmission and I was thinking about getting some helper springs for it to help with keeping the van level while towing. I had bought...

    Upper Control Arm Removal Tips

Well, it's been a couple of years since I removed mine, but if I remember correctly, I just put the end of a crowbar in there under where the b ushings are and worked the upper control arms up and down, pushing the control arms out and up of their resting places. As I said, it's been awhile...

    Leaf Spring Question!!!!

I got a set of replacement springs a couple of years ago from Jegs. I got the SS Springs with an extra 2" of lift built into them - come to find out that the original springs, my '69 Barracuda also was originally a slant six car, were so worn out that it raised the rear of my car by more than 2...

    Lower control arm

Jim, OK - sorry for assuming otherwise. Assuming things always gets me into trouble! I do agree - you've got to find a mechanic (either an enthusist or an old school mechanic) who knows Mopars.

    Lower control arm

No, I'm not a front end guy - just a shade tree mechanic who enjoy's wrenching on my car. Being able to do as much as i can on my own teaches me about my car and how it works as well as not having anyone else to blame if it's not installed correctly. Just trying to share my experience to...

    front end kits

I've ordered the front end kits from PST and Performance Suspension at different times and their stuff is pretty good and their prices are not that bad - better than buying the stuff individually at your local parts store. Shipping time to California isn't that bad either. They both due...

    Lower control arm

I believe what Rumblefish360 and Eric S68 are talking about is removing the Torsion Bars, and yes Mancini Racing has those tools - they are great as I've bought them and they make removing the torsion bar much easier than my homemade stuff. However, if your looking to swap out the Lower Control...

    Lower Control Arm Bushing Sleeves

I'll have to look for an air chisel. It took me quite some time to get these sleeve's out with just a hammer and a cold chisel. I got one out and took the other one to a local machine shop! Thanks for the info.

    torsion bars removal

I think you are making it too hard. The adjustment bolt that adjusts the tension on the Torsion Bar is in the bottom of the Lower Control Arm. If you broke that bolt, the all you need is a new one. Try:http://www.justsuspension.com/moparupgrades.htm and check out the Torsion Bar Adjuster (P/N...
