It is illegal in Washington state on some years of vehicles from what the state patrol told us. Somewhere in the 50s was the cutoff if I remember correctly.
Our two local glass co wanted $800+ said they would have to get it from a restoration specialist... I got a new one off ebay. Windshield, seal, and install came to less than $500. The glass has one line of distortion but not too bad for the price.
