I have to jack the body up so the axle sags down to get the wheels mounted, but could also just be the size of the tires

I use the nitto drag radials. @cannucky can attest to the nitto drag radials as he has driven across the country twice on the same tires. Last i heard. nitto was the only one with a wet rating for a drag radial. just my .02

My father did it that way with his rims (which are still on this farm) for his challenger back in the late 70's.

I never used them so I can't make an opinion on them. Can't recall who they were either. Been a few years. Would have to do a bunch of googling to figure it out again.

Oh I am here. Flange was and is not needed. It was turned off and center welded back to the wheel shell. Could also argue that that was more area to weld. Aka arc Welded on the flange or spot welded to the flange and welded without the flange is like arguing with yourself in a mirror...

I have 7.25" backspace on 67 dart. I do have a pair of 15 x 10 rally's with the centers knocked out. Centers just need to be set and welded where needed. I was going to do them up for my dart but I have another project going on and dont really need them.

I started with 295 tires but they were hard to come by so I stepped up to 325 nitto drag radial. I also use a stock a body 8 3/4 and home made steel rims with dog dish caps. 15 x 10 rims with 7 1/4 backspace (big bolt pattern 28 inch axles)
