I am not looking to buy heads right now. Just wanted more info on the heads I currently have. Thanks everybody for your input. I measured the vavlves and they are right around 2" across on the intake and the just over 1.5" on the exhaust. So I am assuming by the casting # these are pre 72...

Can anybody tell me what size valves came in these 1973 340 J heads? casting #'s are 3418915-F and 3418915-C Also what cc combustion chambers?

My friend bought this year ago. It has the "X" heads on it. Here is the block casting # 2780930-340-7 does it have a steel or cast crank/rods? HP rating? Thanks in advance for you help!
