what year is this 340?

My friend bought this year ago. It has the "X" heads on it. Here is the block casting #

2780930-340-7

does it have a steel or cast crank/rods? HP rating?

on the other side of the block there are casting numbers in date form.

these numbers above tell only that it is in fact a 340 block with 7 mold revisions. on the left front of the block right under where the head gasket goes there should be another set of numbers probably FW 340 P xxxxxxxx these numbers first 4 "x" are the date assembled in the 10,000 day code, and another set of stamping on the oil pan rail which will contain a vin or partial (last 8) vin number.
