    Pertronix for dual point distributor

I have an original dual point from my 273 Commando. Can you convert it to a Pertronix 2. also does anyone have or know where to find a rebuild guide/ instructions for that distributor (If I can't convert I'll rebuild it and sell)? It is just like the picture below I got off the internet.

    Mystery Ignition Box

I wonder if you take it off and look underneath if it will have some info there like an MSD box does. If you change to a Mopar type go with a FBO box conversion. I just put one on my 67 and it is fantastic. Has a rev limiter and made in Oregon. I changed from an orange box to this and the...

    Rev-N-Nator vs. FBO HRR688 ignitions

The original orange box and an Accel coil (with custom bracket) were already mounted in those spots so I just chose to keep them there. I'll take a look on those sites. Funny you mention them as my dad build a Thorpe T18 and I have seen those sites before. Thanks for the info.

Yes temporary. I actually taped and relocated right after this before I drove it. I am pulling it all apart this weekend and tidying it all up. Will repost after. 273 Commando ignition wire question

Here is a pic of the driver and passenger side covers. Oddly they have 2 different types of wire holders?! I am going to change the drivers side to the "w" type if wire holders. The MSD wires fit in those.

    273 Commando ignition wire question

Sorry I did pull that pic from the internet so it may not be a '67. Mine is a 67 BUT it does also have the round plastic pieces not the ones MVH posted. Those would be perfect I think.

    273 Commando ignition wire question

I am moving from stock type wires to MSD 8.5 spark plug wires. On my Commando there are small plastic grommets that hold the wire to the valve cover. I love the way that looks. Does anyone make these? I have them circled in the photo.

    Rev-N-Nator vs. FBO HRR688 ignitions

Has anyone used the HGRR688 ignition box? I have heard good things about the Rev-N-Nator but the HRR688 looks interesting. Any thoughts on it or a comparison would be welcome.
