    Well It Leaks AGAIN!

Have you considered not using that gasket. That one looks way thicker than the ones I have seen. Normally they are so thin you can almost see through them. The oil pump and main cap surfaces in my opinion don’t need that gasket. Check the cap and pump surfaces with something you know has a...

    1. It’s gonna be a street/strip motor. Nothing crazy. 2. I don’t care for fuel economy but I’d like to get better then 8mpg ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ DodgeMoparV2, you stated these 2 things. Those pistons and everything around them to make them work, don't go with the above. I...

13:1 Compression Pistons in 340 Small Block

I would go with a set of flat tops for your intended use. With stock port J heads I would keep the max lift to around .500” or so.

No personal experience here. But from what I have read here and elsewhere, 500 hp at 6000 rpm. After that you are playing with a grenade with the pin pulled.

    !!!!!CALLING CAM EXPERTS!!!!!

Curious about something. Seems most performance cams are ground on a 110* lobe separation, some even tighter. Generally they have a very lopey idle. Let’s say we have a cam ground on a 110* lsa, 240ish duration at .050 and .570 lift at the valve. Let’s say I have a cam ground with exactly the...

    rollor cam in 340 ?

The one thing to watch out for on a 340, is the lifter bores. If you decide to go with hydraulic roller lifters, make sure to check the top of the lifter bores and make sure they don't have too much taper. The taper will expose the lifter oiling band and cause the lifters to not pump up. This is...
