My car is a 67 Dart. Curious as to how much power a set of M/T drag radial street tires that will fit in a stock 67 dart wheel tub with a 1/2” leaf spring offset kit can handle. What size tire is being used?

Thought I would revive this thread and see if anyone else has nay info and pictures.

Large bolt pattern. The 15" x 8" Cragars have 4 1/4" backspace. I am going to shorten the axle housing a little and use some dr diff 1/2" offset leaf spring hangers. I have 245/60 coopers at the moment mounted on 7" cragars with 4 1/8" backspace. Don't want to buy the 8" wheels and they not fit...

Anyone running 15 x 8 Cragars on the rear of your 67-69 Dart. Any mods done to make them fit? What tire size also? Pictures would be greatly appreciated.

It is an 8 3/4. I will have to shorten it somewhere between 7" to 8" as you mentioned. Trying to figure out a tire size.

I am going to minitub my 67 Dart over the winter and want to run 15 x 10 Cragar S/S wheels. Has anyone here used a 15" x 10" wheel with 3 3/4" backspace and what size tire did you use? Pictures would be nice also. This is the look I want. Not my car.

Is there a difference between the size of dog dish hubcaps when fitting them to 4" and 4 1/2" bolt patterns?

Those are nice, but expensive too.

I wish now that when I built the rear end housing I would have bought the 3/4" hanger offset and shortened the housing just a little, it would have been perfect for even and 8" wheel.

I really like the torque thrusts, but I can only find them with a 4" backspace in the 7" rim and that is not enough for my Dart. If I could get them with a little more backspace those are the ones that would be on the car.

You don't see cragars much here either. Not that many mopars here either, so not many Rally wheels to see.

I have considered the torque thrust D but the backspacing is a problem for me. Just not enough.

Just time for a change. I have 8" wheels on back and need to drop down to a 7" so I can get some fender clearance for the back tires. I have the quarter lips rolled up now and want to put them back down.

Factory backspace on a 7" rim is 4 1/4".

With that 7" rim you will need at least a 4" backspace.

If you get a chance, snap a picture of your car with those cragars and let us see. I am thinking of getting the same wheels for my Dart.
