    I give up

What size is the radiator? I just replaced the radiator in my Duster and I was running a 26" radiator that is only about two yrs old with not much use. I went with an aluminum radiator and trans cooler. If the radiator would fit you are welcome to have it. It is in excellent condition. Not sure...

    Is A/C working normally?

The AC in my work van blows 60 degrees at the vents and it keeps the van cool. I would think at 52 degrees it should be sufficient to cool your car. However on 90 degree days the AC in my truck is laboring to cool the interior

Sounds like a blockage somewhere. My Duster has a 180 degree stat in it and my temp gauge does not ever go even up to 1/4 way and I get blasting hot heat. My car is a 340 without A/C.

Heater hose blew on the freeway

That short hose from the water pump does come pre bent. Yes, based on the photo of your burst hose you posted I would change all of your hoses. These hoses become dry rotted over the years and cannot withstand the pressure and end up bursting. While you are at it you might as well flush your...

Question on adding coolant to radiator

You could also try to find a radiator cap that has a thermostat gauge built into the cap itself. I believe Mr. Gasket makes these caps.I have this style cap on my Duster and it is very helpful not only to monitor your coolant temp, but also to let you know when it is safe to open up the cap.you...

Is it normal for a car with no overflow to dump a bit of antifreeze after a day

I have a rubber hose from my radiator that will leak out a little coolant if I fill the radiator too high. After driving in the hot weather I always check my radiator levels as general pratice to see if any of the coolant has evaporated, sometimes I need to add a little water, usually less than...

70 Still getting hot, what else to look for?

I run a thermostat cap that has a temperature gauge built right into the cap. This way I can monitor the temperature at all times and also this will work as a safety so I never open up the cap when it is hot. I did get a brain cramp years ago with another Mopar I owned and opened the cap when...

newest question - heater not working and engine overheating

Maybe you have a clogged radiator or a bad water pump? Do not attempt to drive it until you fix the overheating issues, You can damage both the engine and transmission due to overheating issues.

26 inch radiator in a duster?

My radiator fits very well into my engine bay - No cutting needed. It looks like it came from the factory with the 26" Radiator. Hood closes fine. I will snap some shots tomorrow and post em'

26 inch radiator in a duster?

I put a larger radiator in my Duster. All I needed to do was drill new mounting holes in the radiator support cowl. The radiator I used is a 3 core and the hoses line up perfectly from the old narrow radiator. I did have to kind of bend one of the transmission cooling lines over a little to fit...
