The AC in my work van blows 60 degrees at the vents and it keeps the van cool. I would think at 52 degrees it should be sufficient to cool your car. However on 90 degree days the AC in my truck is laboring to cool the interior

52 degrees is plenty cold.

Sounds like a blockage somewhere. My Duster has a 180 degree stat in it and my temp gauge does not ever go even up to 1/4 way and I get blasting hot heat. My car is a 340 without A/C.

use two 5/8" O.D. Hoses, you should be all set.
