    cam identication needed

I have a cam that is stamped on the end MP with numbers. I can't make out the first number. I believe it is either the letter S or the number 8 or 5 or 3. I have a picture. I've measured the lobes and the intakes are around .300" and the exhaust around .310".

360 stumbles when going from full idle to full throttle.

I lengthened the accelerator rod and that fixed the stumble. It runs great. Thanks to all for the help.

Yes but I'll check it again. Can a timing light get out of calibration?

360 stumbles when going from full idle to full throttle.

When I snap it, it appears there is no delay. The stream is continuous and smooth. It last all the way to wide open throttle

360 stumbles when going from full idle to full throttle.

It looks like there is a slight, hard to detect delay between throttle movement and the start of the gas stream.

    Water in the oil

I have a newly rebuilt 360 in a 73 duster. Back in early summer I noticed the oil was getting water. The water level in the radiator may have gone down a little but not much. I suspected the timing cover gasket. I changed it and drove it regularly in the summer. The oil looked good all summer...

    sticking or floating valves

I recently bought a 73 duster with a 318. It had sat for a while and had old gas in it but it started and I drove it home. It has a edelbrock intake and carb. When You nail the gas it don't really do much. It kinda moans and accelerates slowly. It does gear down. I decided to install a mild cam...

    308 heads

I have a set of 308 heads that I'm going to install 2.02 intakes in and do a little bowl work. Do you have to worry about hitting water when working on the bowls of these heads. The exhaust valve is nailhead type and the 1.88 is a tulip type should I stay with the the tulip type in the 2.02 or...

    hughes roller whiplash cam

I've got a stock LA 360 roller cam engine. I'm putting magnum heads on it. Which I'm thinking will pick me up 1/2 or 3/4 of a point on the compression ratio and a airgap intake. I'm thinking about running a Hughes 2228 whiplash roller cam. Does any of you have any experience with this cam? Or...
