This thing looks like a monster!

    Headers

I have eddy heads on mine. Plugs are angled slightly. It’s just that one that’s tough. I do have a few holes thru the passenger side inner fender.

    Headers

Maybe it is #5, the one between tube 1 and 7. I run the wire strait down from the top, over the valve cover. I haven’t burned any boots, I use the heat shield sleeves on that one. Too bad they don’t make a smaller diameter primary tube version of this header. Would be better for the street.

    Headers

Did that, the tough one is #7 on my car. Steering column is right in front of it, under the master cylinder. I can just about reach it from under the car.

    Headers

Good, lowest part is the collector flange, and you can run a normal size front tire. Only drawback is you have to cut the car up. They are close to $1000 uncoated. I put them on a b block, they are made for a RB block. I did have to dent a few tubes that touched the block. Spark plugs a tough to...

    440 headers and Power steer

Tire clearance is not a problem. Driver side front two tubes go through the fender, passenger side has one that goes through. I have 215/70 14” and they fit fine. I did have to move some brake lines and I made a heat shield for the master cylinder.

    440 headers and Power steer

Parts pro headers will work. 2” dia. You do have to cut the fenderwells with them. Click on my avatar picture. I have a 383 with spool mounts and power steering.

    383 engine mount

Did you try to turn the rubber pad 90 degrees. All the one I’ve ever seen the long side runs top to bottom, short side is front to back. Like the driver side mount in the other photo.

    440 oil pump contacting crossmember

How about a flat spacer between the biscuit and the k frame. 1/4” aluminum plate with a hole or slot in it. Put one on both sides. I’ve done this on small blocks for header clearance.

    440 Demon Almost Ready

I was having problems with brake fluid leaking from the master lid. I checked it with a heat gun and it was 300 degrees. I made up the shield and it is now about 150. I moved all the brake lines out of the corner and had the headers coated. They now run across the front of the k frame. Seems...

Very close on mine also, same covers and headers. I have maybe 1/8 inch, I can get the valve covers off, but it’s close. I like the orange between the fins. 72 demon440 your car is a thing of beauty. Good luck with it.

    Inner fender braces

Thanks everyone, I put them back on, I have a ‘71 that doesn’t have them, but the ‘75 does. I would think they would take some of the flex out of he nose. Even though you connect the frame, not much stiffens the nose, short of a roll cage.

    Inner fender braces

How affective are the brace bars? The ones that bolt from the pinch weld on the firewall for the center fender bolt. Ma Chrysler put them on for some reason.

Access holes for bell housing bolts

Nice! I was looking at the ones with the little prongs on the back. The one you used look even better. Easier to get in and out.

Access holes for bell housing bolts

Thats exactly what I was thinking of using. I’ve seen it done on many race cars. I can imagine how difficult they must be to get at in a hemi car.

Access holes for bell housing bolts

I put the tranny back in today, and you guys we’re right on, no problem getting the upper bolts in with the back of the tranny dropped. A bunch of extensions and a nifty swivel 9/16 socket. Thanks again for the replies.

Access holes for bell housing bolts

Thanks for the replies, I guess this is not a common practice. My plan was to put body plugs in the holes. I’ll either try the stud idea or put the bolts in with the engine tilted back. I took them out with the engine and tranny still in place. I’ve been drag racing for 35 plus years and I...

Access holes for bell housing bolts

I want to drill a couple of hole for to gain access to the top two bell housing bolts. Anybody have a template or some way of determining where to drill them? It’s a 383/727 in a 1975 duster with Schumacher motor mounts and spool type k frame. Thanks

    Relocating front brake lines

I looking for some ideas on where to move the passenger side front brake line. I want to get it off the firewall. I’m thinking the front or back of the k member, what have you guys done?

Proparts/Mazzolini headers on B motor in A body.

E We just put a set of these in a 75 duster, 383 auto, eddy heads with ps, spool mount V8 k frame, Schumacher motor mounts. A few of the problems we had were passenger side #2 tube hit inner fender, had to dent between shock bolt and engine along the edge of inner fender. #4 or #6 tube hit...
