    Need a port for PCV.

Remember when the middle of the traffic lanes were a black streak? And motorcyclists never rode in the middle of a lane. And the first rain after summer was a time to be more careful as things got a little more slippery. LOL.

    Need a port for PCV.

Dumb question? I don't think so,it's called a filter thingy I guess! LOL.

    Need a port for PCV.

Late answer to a late question but hey he is a newbie. Answer is NO. That line to the air cleaner is so the pvc system gets clean air. You can pick up a breather with a built in filter element. The most obvious one would be a k and n breather but many breathers can perform the same function. And...

    Rich at cruise

Increasing the main circuit air bleed will lean the cruise mix. As the carb opens into the transition slot the idle circuit shuts down. The idle circuit should not affect the main circuit and vice-versa.

    Rich at cruise

Your idle mix screws should not affect your cruise afr. Perhaps the idle speed is open to far where it's idling off the transition slot. Are the secondaries open the same as the primaries at idle? Does this carb have an idle air bypass? Are you running a pvc system? Seems to me that you need...

    Carb Tuning with AFR Guage

Fixed air bleeds can be made smaller by inserting a fine wire into it. Just be sure it stays in place.

    Carb Tuning with AFR Guage

When a fuel curve is flat thru say your lower and middle rpm range but leans out at high rpm then a smaller jet in the lowest hole in the emulsion tube should help. Curve flat in the middle and upper rpm but rich on the lower rpms, then a larger jet in the highest hole in the emulsion tube.

    Carb Tuning with AFR Guage

Main air bleeds work harder at high rpm. They will not lean out the bottom end without effecting the top end even more so.First you must get the fuel curve flat. Say 11-1 All the way thru the rpm range. Then lean it out to what you want. Smaller bleeds is what you want. They will make the bottom...

    Rubber Fuel Lines Are Dangerous

Metal vs rubber, both have pros and cons. Too many to list here. Installation is a big part of it. Barbed fittings for rubber and doubled flares for metal help a lot. And I will tell you what, got way more than 12 inches of rubber hose on a set of Hilborn stack injectors. At 120psi or so at high...

    T-ram linkage

First pic is inline 660s with t bar linkage and a fuel line with banjo fittings. Simple, compact inexpensive and worked well. Second is sideways mounted 750 double pumps with home made air cleaner. Notice the fuel lines and throttle linkage.

    Carb Question

Ran a 390 holley on my stock 340 dart a long, long time ago. Ran great up to about 4000rpm. Then the fun was over. I think those were originally meant for hot 4 bangers.

need help with a Holley carb

8psi is too much. Could be the reason for your fire. Knock it down to no more than 6psi for that car. Change plugs, those are probably gas fouled. Give em a good whiff. Smell like gas they're fouled.

    750 aed stumble off idle/start

Your dampner/balancer is still functional. But not in top notch shape. So its best to keep an eye on it. Thats what the paint is for. You need to know if the slipping has happened recently or if its been just a tiny bit for quite a while now. If its slipping fast you need to change it. If you...

    750 aed stumble off idle/start

So the timing marks have slipped back on the hub. Thats what they do. I your going to keep that balancer put a paint line across the front so you can keep track of how much it slips. Then find tdc and correct the marks. Even if you get a new dampner you still gotta check tdc. Did you take the...

    750 aed stumble off idle/start

As for timing the first thing to do is find top dead center and see if your marks on the dampner are correct. The marks can be off for a variety of reasons so find TDC first!

    750 aed stumble off idle/start

I'am not familar with that carb but it sounds like a holley. A classic mistake when setting the accelerator linkage is to have play in it when its at an idle. The .015 you mentioned. There should be no play. The shooter should squirt fuel instantly when the throttle is touched. Same for the...

A body 440 throttle cable help..

I had to heat up and bend the rod the pedal pushes on. Put more angle in it for more travel before the pedal bottoms out. I run a dominator so moving the cable closer to the pivot is not an option, not with the built in return springs those have.

    Car dies after WOT

Never messed with a demon carb. But that clear sight glass, is that the same as the plastic clear sight plugs you can get for holleys? The reason I ask is I have heard of these breaking and falling out on their own. Very dangerous. I use them now just to check fuel level. Then I replace with the...
