rb tunnel ram on a b motor

Here you go. Small block chevy tunnel ram, two adapter plates. Thats about it. This was done quite often in the 70s. Do some measuring and you will find them close. And if you cant find a small block chevy manifold, well,,,,,,,,

    Radiator choices 26" or 22"

I got to disagree here. I remember when every track had a watering hole. Guys could dump their water and refill with cold water. They would run small radiators for less weight and deal with the hassle of changing the water. Cars were set up to dump the water fast. Dont see this no more. Your...

    Radiator choices 26" or 22"

This is a big no-no at the strip. Antifreeze is difficult to clean up. Water isn't. Surprised nobody has mentioned this.

    Radiator hoses

A little shop, valley tach and speedo. It cost $185.! Yeah, steep! But the guy replaced most of the guts. I had spent some time messing with it so i recognized the parts he fished out of the trash to show me. And he replaced the cables core,a different tip and the housing end. I had been using a...

    Radiator hoses

Couldn't help but notice the race distributor. With the tach drive. So whats at the end of the cable? I run that distributor in my 64 plymouth. It drives a Stewart Warner tach that will be mounted in the instrument cluster. Just had the tach rebuilt$$. How is yours working out?

External oil pump pickup pan mod...?

Fittings have no groove. One type of nut has a groove in it. Not really deep enough for an o-ring. But it does help hold one in place.

External oil pump pickup pan mod...?

You want to cut as small a hole as possible. Otherwise o-rings won't seal. What nuts came with the fittings? Standard nut is just that. Other type has a recess that really helps to keep an o-ring in place. The steel washers also help position an o-ring but not as good as the recessed nuts...

To line2line coat or not to line2line coat ;-)

Interesting. Did not know coatings can be so thick. How many grams per piston might that be? And rings. Available in the new oversize? Enough radial depth to work with the pistons? Thanks

    FiTech Dual Quad

I just gotta say,e-85 probably has the highest horsepower potential of any pump fuel out there. You just need to burn more of it. A lot more. Works great in supercharged motors. It has a great cooling effect on the intake charge. So you can run more boost and/or timing. Now I have never ran it...

    FiTech Dual Quad

Hey,thanks for the reply to my post. Oh,I have a lot of questions but only one for now. What's involved in switching fuels say from gas to e-85? Thanks.

    FiTech Dual Quad

That injection on top of an I/R tunnel ram might be interesting. Those throttle bodies have 4 barrels and 4 injectors each? Each injector supply fuel for idle? Set up as individual runners there should be no distribution problems. And much more driveable. But I don't know much about efi....maybe...

Is there any fitment problems with TTI- Big Block -A body

These guys can tell you more than I can. Sometimes aftermarket heads dont work to well with headers. The stage 6 heads on my brothers 70 cuda put the tubes of his tti's into the torsion bars. The angle of the exhaust ports is different. Had to bolt the headers down on a spare head and heat up...

Cammer was built for nascar. Built quite a few when nascar said no,not allowing either hemi unless they came in cars available to the public. We know who put them in cars. A whole lot of cammers were then sacrificed at the temple of nitro. Connie Kallita, sneaky Pete Robinson even Don Purdhomme...

I could make a case for the small block chevy, flat 4 volkswagon even the v-12 jag. But hp is a big part of it. No doubt. Oil PSI light, H20 temp light?

Pressure switch? Hobbs. Temp should be at the lowest abnormal temp for that engine. If it never hits 200° set it for 200 not 210 or 220. If the light comes on ocasionally during normal use, thats okay cause it tells you to keep watch on it. Thats my opinion.

What K Member and Transmission Mount ?

My DC k was made from a blank,I guess you would call it. It never had any other mounts on it. Whatever k you use I would suggest removing that lip that surrounds where the oil sump would be. And strenghten the steering box mount. The box moves around quite a bit and needs additional bracing. You...
