i understand that the pre-smog 318s had much more power. is making a smog-era 318 the same as a "non-smogged" version a matter of simple parts exchange/removal/replacement? or are they 2 completely different motors? just curious. thanks for any insight

i thought the smaller one was the booster line. and i know it is ugly right now - just want it to run then i'll pretty it up over the winter

ok well there are 2 hoses - not hoes oops - 1 is about 3 feet long the other about 1.5 feet. do i just plug both of them? they both come off the same outlet in the manifold.

no idea what it goes to. note the arrows - thats the hose i mean.

thanks guys i will def be keeping the eng/trans together when pulling it. do you think its best to use a hoist to go up and over or keep everything on the k frame and lift the car over it? the donor car is completely stripped of everything but the driveline so it is fairly light.

do you all recommend using a hoist and pulling the eng/trans out as 1, or seperate the eng and trans and pull the eng out alone? or just keep everything attached to k frame and slowly lower then pick car up over that? i dont have a hoist but i'll get one if it is the safest way - both for me...
