I have a rimblow steering wheel and the grip portion is all cracked and buckled all over. Has anyone found a way to replace the grip portion of the steering wheel?

Yes they make plastic reproduction ones. I have one already in another dart I own. Not real impressed with it so I am going a different route this time.

Ok. I am debating between a vinyl from a local fabric store that has no foam or ordering a tier grain foam back vinyl that you see on old cars. Trying to go the plain vinyl route since i want to put it on the past pad, headliner, sail boards, and rear shelf in the car.

Have a cardboard headliner with some nicks and scratches. I am thinking about trying to cover it with vinyl and using a vinyl top glue. Anyone had any luck trying this.

Are the frames the same? I have a set of 72 B body bucket seats that needs new foam and covers but I like the 70 style better than the 72. Just curious if the frames are the same.

Ok. I was unaware of the back seat cover not being on all early 70's bucket seats. I knew the foam and patterns changed (after some more reading) but aren't the seat frames the same?

Yes the are about 3/4 of the way way out on each spoke of the wheel.

There are three retaining clips that hold it on. Mine cracked when trying to remove it. To remove the steering wheel I backed the nut off some and used a socket extension to use so I could hit the shaft without damaging the threads. Two licks and it was off. Mine is all apart and slowly working...

That was kinda my thoughts after I thought about it. All I can say is it didn't come apart easy or go back together easy (the two parts that have plastic shear pins. It appears it will work fine with them sheared.

Ok. Got it all apart today. Had some issues getting the shaft out of the tube. Apparently the shaft is two parts and the tube is two parts. I know for a fact now it breaks down into more pieces than I thought. A lot of rust prevented it from coming out whole. I see where the factory apparently...

Need to remove the coupler because the seal is shot. Going to rebuild it plus I am putting on the pieces to convert it from column to floor shift

Trying to find out how to remove the cover on a factory steering wheel on my 72 Dart. Can't find any screws to hold the cover on to get to the retaining nut so I can use a puller to remove it. I don't want to destroy the cover and can't seem to find if it just snaps on some how or what

Getting ready to install my console in the car in the next few weeks ( my 72 Dart didn't come with a console shift from the factory) and I ordered my carpet from trim parts. Just would like to see some pics of console in cars with the carpet on them.

1972 Dart. I have the main assembly together but can't remember how the ashtray/door hinges so that it stays up in the assembly when not in use. I guess I am having a brain fart

Took my dash apart during restoration and for the life of me can't get the ash tray and frame assembly back together the right way. Anyone got any pics?

Has anyone tried to strip the chrome off of the top plates on a console and powder coat with the chrome colored powder coat. I have access to a powder coat gun and a oven but how do I get the old chrome off. It has started to dull and has a few pits
