Fuel injection for the slant six

It will be a while before I get it all installed, but I ordered a Holley sniper 2300 and a tanks inc. EFI tank and fuel pump.

Anyone running a Holley Sniper 2300 on their slant?

Yeah, the BBD was tempting, and would probably work out well for most slants. Holley doesn't share a CFM rating for the BBD and I don't think it will flow enough whenever I get around to adding a turbo. At 10PSI and 5K RPM I will need about 480CFM, the 2300 can flow 580 CFM, so this gives me...

Anyone running a Holley Sniper 2300 on their slant?

I could see why that would be a problem if you're not windows guy. For me, this is why I prefer the sniper over fitech. I already downloaded the software and it looks like you would have more options to tune the system for boost over the fitech 2 barrell. I won't be starting off with a turbo...

Anyone running a Holley Sniper 2300 on their slant?

I made a quick 3D print based on the dimensions that Holley has on their website for the 2300. The holes on the super six are quite a bit smaller than the Holley. I'd hate to cut into the super six, but I would want to open the holes up to match.

Anyone running a Holley Sniper 2300 on their slant?

I'm probably gonna pull the trigger soon on the 2300 for my 225. I have a super six intake that I would have to open up a bit to make it fit. If anyone's running this set up, what do you think? What are you using for fuel delivery? I hear their external fuel pump is junk, but I also noticed...

Pulled mine a few weeks ago. Remove as much as you can first. Here is a pic showing where to mount a chain if you are pulling it out with the transmission.

Does anyone know what these headers will fit.

I bought an identical NOS header and a chrome valve cover from someone on craigslist for $120 a while back. I can't believe anyone would pay $250 for that thing covered in rust!

How to start my '74 without a dash?

I have had the dash out of my dart for about a year and I don't plan on putting it back in until I have the body work finished and paint the car. Until then what is the best way to start the car? It's gonna be at least a few years before I'm ready to put it all back together and I don't want it...

Help Needed With My Thermal Design Project - Designing a Turbo System for the Slant!

Can anyone point me in the right direction on figuring out what kind of pressure the slant would deliver to the turbo? I am planning on running 8lb of boost which would give me a pressure ratio of 1.54. The engine would be fed air at about 442 CFM or 30.57 lb/min. I am considering the Garrett...

Help Needed With My Thermal Design Project - Designing a Turbo System for the Slant!

For the scope of this project we have decided to leave the carb and intake out of the analysis and focus on the events leading up to the intake only, especially since we only have a week and a half to get it done. We are going to look into the turbine, compressor, intercooler and pressure releif...

Help Needed With My Thermal Design Project - Designing a Turbo System for the Slant!

Force is not always strongest at its point of origin, that is the whole concept behind a lever. The piston moving is also because of the volumetric expansion and heat generated when the air/fuel mixture is ignited in the combustion chamber during the power stroke. Some of this force is...

Help Needed With My Thermal Design Project - Designing a Turbo System for the Slant!

You are correct in the sense that it is not the heat that directly spins the turbine, but it is the heat that causes the exhaust gases to move. The pressure of the exhaust gas is a function of temperature and the physical properties of the gas. As the the temperature of the exhaust gas...

Help Needed With My Thermal Design Project - Designing a Turbo System for the Slant!

Bill, Thanks for all of the pictures and if you don't mind, a few of them will end up in my report and presentation. I have been reading your posts in all of the other turbo slant threads and I can tell that you have a lot of knowledge to pass on. I really like your header design, what type of...

Help Needed With My Thermal Design Project - Designing a Turbo System for the Slant!

For those of you who don't know, I am a senior level mechanical engineering student and have been assigned a project for my Thermal Systems class. We have to design any kind of thermal system that we choose and I convinced my group to design a turbo system for my 74 dart with a 225 /6 & 904...

Slant and a 5 or 6 speed manual trans

Jeff, when you start the swap PLEASE document it! I have considered the same thing behind my slant and I'm sure there are several others that would be interested. My car is a swinger, but most of it would be the same. I don't know about your area, but in MO, slants go on craigs for next to...

I got some super six parts and they came with questions!

Thanks! The guy that I got it from took it off of a 72 dart that threw a rod and he bought the car with the super six already on it. So I am guessing that this stuff all worked on the car. For what I paid, just getting the manifold would have been a good deal so it won't be too bad if I have to...

I got some super six parts and they came with questions!

I acquired a super six intake, exhaust manifold, carter BBD, and some brackets. The guy that I got it from said that he wasn't sure if the kickdown linkage that he threw in was correct or not and I was hoping that someone here could confirm. The brackets that came on the manifold also look a...
