I am in need of help

Interesting, I’ll need to check my parts book later today. I do know that the 383 used an 11” converter while the 440 used a 12” converter. That’s the first thing that we changed on our 440’s back in the day.

    Incorrect dash vin tag

That was Tim’s car but he was lucky because he had the police records to confirm the VIN so he was able to get a legit VIN plate made for the car. Is this 1970 340 Block Yours?

I purchased this motor less intake & carb in Rochester NY about a year ago. It’s got a 5/28/69 casting date so it must have been a early 70 build. Does anyone on this site have a car that’s missing this motor?

    Found: AAR Block

Then wouldn’t an AAR be a BH and not BS?

    Found: AAR Block

It could be out of a T/A Challenger in which case the vin would be JS23J0B289413.

Looking for my original 1969, 440 engine

Does the vin number on the block in your car match up with any of the M Code Barracuda's or Dart's listed on the 440 Barracuda or Dart Registry? The reason I ask is that I would love to find mine.

what to do if you have the "lost" car

Why are you even involved since you don't own the car. You can tell him that you sold it which you did and leave it at that.
