Single hoist on a turnaround. The platform will have a short segment on the wall side mounted via piano hinge that falls into place when it reaches the upper level. Theoretically the turnaround doubles the capacity of the winch but I don't plan to exceed its original rating of 1500#.

I finally got it sorted out in my head and laid out some metal. I spent most of my long weekend fabbing parts, drilling holes and welding but the basic trolley is up and running. All I need to do now is add the fold down platform and a few reinforcement braces.

My favorite crimping tool is an older MAC tooth type. Always make sure the seam in the component is opposite the tooth and use shrink tube. No problems.

Another issue is the feed tube often collapses if it doesn't have a spring inside.... you may have to cover the tip and pull the trigger to flush out any debris that may be blocking the feed as well.

I used the split washers as a thrust spring against a flat washer on the springer fork setup on my mini chopper. As long as they are still sharp and not sprung they do the job within design limits.

I had the ceiling insulated on my 60 X 40 but not the walls. I will spray the walls once I am happy with all the conduit and electrical. So far no moisture issues other than a bit of water coming in around the chimney for the stove in the shop area.

My neutral and ground are one in the same, in other words the white and the plain copper both tie into the ground strip in the box. All I would do is pull off one side of the 220 and from the white common and of course still twist the plain coppers together. It seems such a waste of 8ga wire not...
