    A/C push buttons gasket

Could you go to a fabric store and grab some black felt, trace the pattern from your old gasket and trim out a new one with a pair of scissors? Total cost probably less than $2

    Temp guage not reading correct??

Make sure the new sending unit is not the one for the idiot light. O'Reilly (sorry Rusty) sold me the wrong one and I went nuts until I figured that out.

What's the hole in the intake for....collecting antifreeze

You can see where it's running down from above at both of these places. It's seeping out under the thermostat housing and running down into that hole.

    Coolant leakage (Barracuda -69)

I had this problem too! I talked to an old Mopar guy here locally and he suggested I buy the good water pump/thermostat sealant from Permatex (I think it's grey in color). Clean both surfaces very well, slather the sealant on both sides of the gasket, the intake and the thermostat housing...

    will 1 # make a difference

I have read where for every pound of pressure in the cooling system you can raise the boiling point three degrees F. So if you're already running a 15# cap and you go to a 16# cap I really don't see a big difference.

    Overflow Hose

I got mine at O'Reilly for my 67 Barracuda. I found it over by the windshield washer hose and pumps right there on the shelf. I think it was 7/64 diameter or something like that but it was the thin walled very flexible stuff perfect for overflow hose. Comes in a red and white box in 6 or 7...

    273 New Water Pump

I need to replace the water pump on my 273. I have been to O'Reilly, AutoZone, NAPA and CarQuest and every water pump they have on the shelf for my car looks like the one in the first picture. It has that extra boss (see red circle) cast into the front of the water pump. In addition it also...

Interesting update on "crappy" repro fan shrouds

I'm thinking about purchasing a re-pop 614 shroud for my 67 Barracuda. Since this thread is a few months old, I wondered of anyone could give an update on the performance of the 3rd generation of plastic. Are the new shrouds more heat resistant? I'd sure hate to throw away that much money...

    Temperature Sending Unit

I have a 1967 Barracuda with the 273 engine. The temperature gauge has never worked. If I ground the purple wire that runs out to the sending unit the needle moves all the way to Hot and beyond. This weekend it was nice and I went for a cruise. The temperature gauge never moved off of cold...
