    Hello from an absolute newbie

If it is a 67, being the first year of this generation of A body have some 1967 only stuff like the glovebox door and hinge setup, and glovebox liner, some other stuff like 67 only vent window assemblies, single sideways fuel tank strap. Other than some things like that, they are pretty much the...

Wow nice find. Grilles look great. Very hard to find them not beat up. I'd recommend storing those carefully boxed up while you restore it.

Not exactly new but might as well be

Rent a 10x20 storage unit with electric. Instant shop. I used to rent a T hangar on the regional airport. One 20A breaker. When I ran my 25 gallon craftsman compressor I shut the shop lights off. Cost was $100 per month. But that was years ago.

I wouldent cut the top off. That will ruin it. If you try to sell it later on as a "permavertible" you will have a hard time. Notchbacks were the lightest and stiffest of all 3 body styles of the second gen cars. The verts had a lot done to them to stiffen em up and were still kinda floppy. I...

    Hi! New commer :)

Wow, old post 2009. Need to update with pix. Ever get your transmission sorted out? Magnum 360 is externally balanced. Need to keep that in mind with the torque converter and flex plate on the transmission or it will shake itself to pieces by being out of balance.

    My first car-1972 Dodge Demon

Welcome to Fabo!! My mopar addiction started with model kits, and at age 15 i got my first 1-1 scale mopar. Its been a wild ride for 35 years since then. This is the best site on the net. The best people i have met. Stick around, lots of knowledge, and helpful folks here. Glad to see that a...

    Grateful New Guy

Hi CSL DART, Looks like you got a good foundation to start with. 400hp out of a 360 is easily doable and if you go that route, i would recomend going internally balanced on the engine. It opens up a world of different torque converters and harmonic balancers you can use over stock externally...

Welcome from west Texas. Clean dart you got. I been looking off and on for a dart or valiant just to make a daily driver out of. Problem is i cant leave good enough alone with anything i have lol. I was into the Bs years ago myself. Never was an E body fan. IMHO, they are both overrated, and...

69 Barracuda notchback, in Madison, AL

Put em in a box with a sign on em that says "crazy cat lady starter kit" they may go quickly lol. Actually what i do with the moth balls is i take the boxes, and punch a bunch of holes in the box on one side w an ice pick or screw driver, and pitch the box in the car with punched hole side...

69 Barracuda notchback, in Madison, AL

Sucks about the mice getting in it like that. I'd love to see your car on here. Btw i cant say it enough on the forums, but placing one open box of moth balls on the trunk floor, one on interior floor, and one under the hood does wonders for keeping those little rat bastards away from your car...

My first old car - 73 Dart Swinger

That sounds like a great idea for the roof. I had a 69 dart WSS that was B5 with a blue interior. Car was solid and rust free. I did some bodywork and repainted it same V5 blue. The white vinyl top was peeling really bad, i masked it off and sprayed it with white paint. Looked great and...

My first old car - 73 Dart Swinger

Welcome and a big Howdy from west Texas. Nice lookin dart. Good start to a nice fun car. An FYI, fix the leak causing the rusty trunk trouble first. My bet is the rear window at both lower corners causing the trouble.

    Hi from R.I

Lots of great ideas on this site. I have used lots of other peoples ideas on my build, and i also came up with good ideas to share with the group. Connies are inherently weak because of the no roof deal. I'd recommend subframe connectors to make the car a bit more solid. I made my own out of...

Theres places that sell the trim clips brand new try auveco online and a few others. Sometimes youcan buy a whole box of 25 or 50 windshield spring clips for $7-$8 Carbs, pushrods and rockers are easy. Once you figure out certain things are done mechanically and not electronically like fuel...
