Two many power wires going to fuse box! Is there a better way?

The more connections you have the more voltage loss there will be over the length of any circuit. Plus, the hot feeds for these cars was not designed to do what we ask of it in regard to the electrical loads. I use a seperate buss bar and individual fuses for some things. A very easy way to get...

    318 to 440 wiring ???????

I'm with the other guys...Your parts place looked up a manual trans rev light switch. On all torqueflites after '68, they combine the rev light and nuetral safety switches into one 3 prong deal.

    MSD ignition and welding Question

Which is why you pull the neg cable off the battery. You can only get e surge if the circuit is complete. No negative on the battery, no circuit anywhere in the car.

    Electric washer fluid pump?

If you stick a test light in the connector, and ground the clip to the (-) terminal of the battery, then push the wiper switch..if it lights, the motor is bad, or the ground is bad..They can be picked up at most parts stores.

    Another MSD problem

Yeah, where it says "connect to coil positive.." The output fro the ballast resistor is coil positive..If you use the input side of the resitor, you get battery voltage to the MSD..not a boost, but not a problem either. The 12V is only to tell the box the car should be running.

    Another MSD problem

I cant recall, my directions are not near me..but I think I used the feed side of the ballast resistor as the "power on" wire for the MSD. The coil gets juice right from the MSD box, and the box gets juice fromt he (+)POS wire that runs to the battery terminal..The resistor doesnt do anything...

    Another MSD problem

If you have spark with the key on "run" position, but not "start" position, you may want to look at your ignition switch or the connectors from it. The "start" postiion bypasses the ballast resistor, and has it's own wiring from the switch.

looking for pics for correct '71 340 engine bay

I'm looking for clear pics from a correctly done engine compartment for late '71 built 340 Swinger. Mainly, the electronic ignition module placement, plus the location for the regulator and stuff. Thanks in advance!

    Starter Woes...

you'll do better with a boneyard factory peice, then the $80 Ebag ones. Or, buy th realdeal once. The 2 I have are 5+ years old, left outside, starts in dead of winter..greater reutrn on investment when you have to drain the coolant, move the header..
