Are you asking where to get a quick release steering wheel adaptor? Try Summit racing or JEGS. You'll have to know the shaft diameter of the steering column. Unfortunately I can't remember.

I really appreciate your post. You're dead on about safety. My seats don't have headrests and if I get hit from behind my neck will snap backwards. That can't be good. Hopefully it will knock me out so I won't kill the SOB that just hit me... lol That's all I have is a lap belt and stock seats.

I bought one years ago from yearone and it fit very fell. I didn't cut the speakers out and left it alone. I like NOT to see the speakers and or speaker grills.

More than likely you have to fab your own. 90% of the seats that we get to reupholster have fabbed brackets.

I would have to say remove the windshield and do it right. How does the windshield gasket look? All dried up, hard and cracked up looking?

People don't understand how much work is in upholstery. They think within matter of a hour you should have it done. That's not the case.

I've been debating on installing BMW seats or something of that nature but just can't do it. My interior is what came in the car and it would just mess "the look" with unoriginal seats. They would be more comfortable I bet lol

I agree. A stock steering wheel that is in good shape just cant be beat.

I've read in two different articles that when these cars rolled off the assembly line that the clocks wouldn't work correctly or not at all. So if you get one that works sounds like you will do good.

It can be done but it takes time and patience.

Its been a long time since I removed mine. I do remember removing the steering wheel. It made things so much easier.
