The photos show it pretty well. It's a heavy piano hinge with stamped flanges, secured by bolts. The wood panel has steel threaded inserts to receive the bolts. Watch where you drill... one of the holes is very close to the rear brake line. If you are accurate, it's fine, just make sure.

I saw several of these at the Spring Fling swap meet. I'm not aware of anyone who restores them, or of any repros. The glass is tricky because of the day/night function. Maybe post a WTB ad.
