    Installing a painless wiring system

Just scratches the surface. Most guys are adding electrical components that weren't considered when the car was built (stereo, elec. fans, fuel pump etc.). The added elec. parts requires more power, so adding a higher amp. alternator is necessary. The added amperage over taxes stock electrical...

    Installing a painless wiring system

EZ Wiring 21 circuit on mine. Using genuine mopar connectors wasn't important to me as there's not much left on the car thats original except the body shape. IMO any upgrade on virtually any electrical component besides bulbs, especially the charging system, should necessitate a complete re-wire...

    LED headlights?

JW Speakers, relayed and entire car re-wired. No bulkhead connector. I had to pie-cut the headlight bucket a little to make it work. The headlights are fantastic!

    led upgrades for 72 duster

You call these guys and see if theres a Duster kit in their future since they seem to have everything else. then pay the man... Simple Tail Lights .... or you could go cheapo like me and scour the truck/trailer lighting sites, find a s/t/t lite that fits your housing, and cut the red lens off...

    Modern Headlights

Truth is Dan, is that the valance is from a 70 duster. The 67 piece is one year only and when some turd ran into me years ago I couldn't find the correct piece so I adapted one from a duster. The original piece would have the lights lower and pretty much on the same plane as the opening in the...

The JW Speakers are pricey but they have Stern's solid endorsement. Check page five of the modern headlights sticky at top of electrical and ignition page

    Modern Headlights

I did. I opened up the hole in the back of the bucket, then I marked the spots where the casting nubs on the heat sink were making contact with the bucket and drilled them out with a step drill, careful not to cut into the riders (the three detents in the back of bucket that allow movement of...

    '65 Dart Wagon J.W. Speaker 8700 Install

Well it looks like I'll be cutting too. The hole in the back of the headlight bucket is 3 3/8" and the rough diameter of the heat sink on the back of the speaker headlight is 3 9/16". I'll start by cutting out the outside edge of the flat area around the hole at the back of the bucket, seen here.

Do you have chrome or black? I just ordered a pair of chromes yesterday for my '67, I hope I don't have to cut stuff.

    Powermaster alternator

I ran the 100 amp chrysler cased unit, it only lasted a little over a year. I switched to their 140 amp g.m. based unit and am very happy with it. I had no fitment issues that I can recall. -pauly

    What relays have you added?

I used five 30a relays in a Bussman box from Wiredwheel and left it exposed along with the fan controller and MSD box. I would rather have easy access if needed. Fused relays for fuel pump, one for each fan, low beams and high beams. The amp has its power supplied from the battery out back. The...

    Dome Light Not Working

I believe you can find those wires in the upper left side of trunk, from there they go under the rocker. You should be able to find the colors so you can trace them, may even find the problem in the trunk.

    I'm considering a rewiring project

100% agree with Joe and Dell on this. Am. Auto wire seems to be the best. I used a 21 circuit EZ harness but they're all kind of gm oriented. Can't really add more to that except if a dumbfawk like me can do it anybody can. I do remember somebody on this site running their bay wiring through...

    68 Dart Full rewire.....

I needed extra circuits and bigger wire too so I used an EZ wiring 21 circuit kit. And as Joe said the American Auto Wire kits are reasonable cost and fairly easy to install even for a hack like me.
