Malwood underdash hydraulic kit for A-Bodies

So it's the bracket of the malwood pedal that interferes?

Malwood underdash hydraulic kit for A-Bodies

My car was an auto and swapped to 4 speed. I don't believe there is any difference with the firewall or dash with the auto vs manual cars, just the floor hump.

Malwood underdash hydraulic kit for A-Bodies

@DionR can your brother send some pictures? I am having a hard time visualizing any interference. The master is attached behind the clutch pedal on the malwood, I just can't see where the pull park.brake would hit?

Malwood underdash hydraulic kit for A-Bodies

It says it's a 3/4 bore supposed to a common size. I'd just ask the bearing company

Malwood underdash hydraulic kit for A-Bodies

I just found this also. It's kinda spendy considering you have to buy the hydraulic bearing also. However takes all guess work out of the pedal geometry.

    Can cam support gear change?

Right. It's just super loud. I bet 3.55 would be the ticket. I'll do some testing and see what I come up with.

Thank ya sir. So test in 4th, even though it's the OD gear? Or should I test in 3rd?

    Can cam support gear change?

I have a 25.7" tire. So your calculations are a tad off. The thing accelerates like crazy now. I'm out of first gear in a hurry, figured that was due to the 4.10s. I'll play around with it and see in the lower RPM range. 3.55 - 2599 3.23 - 2364

    Can cam support gear change?

Oh trust me ,I've played around with the calculators. 3.23 seemed like the best. 70 mph is 2364 (3.23) 70 mph 2599 (3.55) I like the rom of 3.23 but not sure if my cam will be in happy at that rpm.

    Can cam support gear change?

In the car and running. It performs fine (I don't have anything to compare it to) It is at 3k rpm at 65. however at this stage in my life, I just want a nice cruiser that I can drive everyday or close to it. When I started to build the car (going on 10 years ago) Plans were different. Lol.

    Ring and Pinion Setup Pattern

Doubt there is a warranty. I had them setup years ago, but just got the car on the road under 200 miles. He never gave me a pic of pattern. I did take the car back due to a drive line vibration and he said "you're rear gears are whining" I said you set them up and he then replied well...

did Dodge ever make a skid plate to protect A500 (42RH) trans pans

Gotcha. Yea, that may be the best way to go. New pan and change the plug.

did Dodge ever make a skid plate to protect A500 (42RH) trans pans

Good deal. Is your car that low? You could probably fab up a skid plate not sure where you'd attach it tho

did Dodge ever make a skid plate to protect A500 (42RH) trans pans

What pan did you go with? I had a deep pan from dorman on it, I didn't think it hung that low. I don't know if Dodge has anything protecting it. Off topic, but did you get the vibration handled?

8.75 cone sure grip locked on turns

I have green bearings on my axles. I don't believe I have any axle seals. The third member is a gasket. I'll see how the figure 8 works out. Weather has been choppy here lately.

8.75 cone sure grip locked on turns

Ok. Well that makes me feel better. Is the Delco friction mm modifier ok? I've read that the ford modifier may be better. But I work for a GM dealer.and.we had it on the shelf.

8.75 cone sure grip locked on turns

I have a cone type sure grip in a 489 case with 4.10 gears. I had @RustyRatRod rebuild/resurface the cones and had a local shop set up the new 4.10 gears. All the parts (gears, seals, bearings, etc) I got from Dr. Diff. Also used a crush sleeve eliminator. I put 80-90 Sae fluid in it with a...

    8.75 out of 74 Truck

I just wasn't sure if the center sections of the truck rear end was the same as a car. Good to know. I have no use for the axle housing, but could use the center to rebuild for a different gears set. Gonna see if I can meet up with him.

    8.75 out of 74 Truck

Guy is selling 8.75 out of a 74 truck. I would like to get another center section to build, worth picking up? He's asking $150.
  28. plumkrazee70

    8 3/4 or…?

That's what I was thinking. Forget the housing, but the center sections would be worth it.
