    Sway bar sizing?

Awesome info guys, thanks! I will "borrow" the mustang wheels from my daily driver Dakota for track days, although they aren't sticky tires, they will help until I wear them out. I think they are the older 17x8 with the better backspace, they are the mach1 wheels. I like the idea of trying...

    Sway bar sizing?

Awesome, thanks! I was looking at that hellwig a while back and threw my original on for a baseline. I'll check out my mustang wheels and see if they go on without a lot of hassle, if not I may wait for some different wheels.

    Sway bar sizing?

Took my dart to its (and my) first autocross this weekend, and I was happy overall, I had a blast chasing my time. I only got four runs in before the rain came, but I'm already planning for the next time. It definitely under steered on tight turns, and leaned quite a bit. Front and rear...

Spring relocation and handling in the curves

I like the look if the hemi darts, but I don't think I could bear to cut the new quarter skins on the car! I have some 17x8 mustang wheels with 245's I run on my Dakota truck that do fit the rear, but may need some modification for the front. I may do that for another option of wheels on the...

Spring relocation and handling in the curves

Hello all, I have finally gotten my dart on the road, and am planning on enjoying it for a bit before any further major work, such as mini tubbing it. After driving it though, the main issue I'm having is traction, efi 5.7 hemi, 5 speed manual, only 7" rear wheels, but even with 3.23s I can get...

Best torsion bars for Daily Driver/Road Racer

I really like the 1.03 pst bars in my car, I was worried they would be too stiff for daily use but they definitely aren't. I just have cheap Monroe's and factory sway bar, so there is definitely room for improvement.

    suspension upgrades?

Just like everyone else here has said, a general rebuild of the front and rear suspension bushings and joints will make a night and day difference. I used pst 1.03 bars, cheap Monroe shocks, urethane bushings, new ball joints and tie rods, hotchkis rear leaves and fabbed up some subframe...

SS rear susp. 4in. lift new TIRE OPTIONS!

Also while the car is on the ground with weight on it loosen the front and rear spring eye bolts and jounce the suspension. If they were tightened while the car was in the air it could be binding the bushings and holding the car higher than normal.

    Show That Lowered A-body!

Here's a few pics of mine, hotchkis rears, 1.03 tb fronts adjusted to match. Factory sway, cheap Monroe's, dry rotted 195 65 front and 215 60 rears on 15x6 and 15x7 diplomat wheels. Handles great, and there's a lot left in this combo.

    Manual steering pitman

Sorry guys I havent been on here in a while, I havent worked on the car in a while either :banghead: I haven't ordered the pitman yet, so I don't know if it works, I was able to find an older manual box at the junk yard, but I have to take it to work to use the torch, as the old pitman won't...

    Manual steering pitman

Ahh I see, I was getting power and manual boxes confused. They changed power boxes but not manual. Thanks guys, I appreciate it!

    Manual steering pitman

My question is there a pitman arm to use with an up to 72 manual steering box with the 73 up center link? I was going to use power steering and have new 73 tie rods, center, pitman and idler, but I changed plans and am going to 5.7 hemi and have to go manual. The ideal plan would be to get a...

How to Install Urethane Torsion Bar Boots Quickly

I use rubber ones, but a trick I use is I cut a cheap plastic funnel off and use it as an expanding tool. With heating it might work on poly ones too.
