A note about Cherokee disc brake swaps

I dont really know the answer to your question, but I would be more concerned about the axle offset, that's where your problem would be

A note about Cherokee disc brake swaps

You would need to redrill your rotors for the 4" pattern, but the A body axles have a different offset than all the other 8 3/4s so not sure it will work in your case

    wilwood problems

If the pedal is soft, it's either air in the system, or the caliper isn't parallel to the rotor, and you have flexing in the mounting bracket

Liberty Rear Disk Brakes for A-Body

DO tell! With factory tapered bearings and all? It would be interesting to see how you got it to work

Liberty Rear Disk Brakes for A-Body

Jeep Cherokee rear disks are a bolt on for a 8 1/4, no machine work. Won't work on 8 3/4 though, because the bearing is held in by a plate, and the cherokee mount is to small in the center, and also too thick.

Opinions on universal or wilwood brake pedal conversion.

A heat shield would be a good idea also!

Opinions on universal or wilwood brake pedal conversion.

As above, keep it simple. Remove that cluster of linkage crap, install master directly to firewall (with adapter as mentioned) and done.

    Identify Disc Brakes on Dart?

The track width is wider on the front than it is the rear, regardless of which brake setup you use, but the 73 up stuff is wider than drums and small bolt disks as has been mentioned.

LBP vs SBP 8.75 Brake Backing Plates

You have to be careful, because there ARE BBP axles made with the offset to use the SBP backing plates...

    brake pedal needs pumping

Hey rusty, he said he left the adjusters backed ALL the way off if I understand correctly. Definitely have a super low pedal if that's the case! You need to check for leaks, and properly adjust your rear shoes..........

    ok to convert 10 x 1 3/4 drums to 11 x 2 1/2 on '72 dart?

correct, you cannot use the BBP backing plates with the SBP axles. A body 8 3/4 axles have a different offset than everything else. If you buy BBP axles, or respline your fury axles, they will have the correct offset to work with the BBP drums.

    ok to convert 10 x 1 3/4 drums to 11 x 2 1/2 on '72 dart?

And don't forget, when you swap to the BBP, your rear track is going to be wider, so be carefull with your wheel offsets.

    ok to convert 10 x 1 3/4 drums to 11 x 2 1/2 on '72 dart?

You can also remove the whole assy from most any 80s diplomat or other f body at most any junkyard. Would still need to be rebuilt, drums turned ect, but deff cheaper. Also the 11 inch rear drums are heavy, and probally overkill on the street.

Looking for a good disc conversion setup

The car aint new is it?? The factory stuff is hard to beat, new rotors, pads, calipers and bearings would make it "new" and cheaper, OR buy a aftermarket system, which will probally have chinese bearings and who knows what else.. I guess they both have pros and cons, good luck with whatever you...

Looking for a good disc conversion setup

Local pull-a-part or salvage yard is where I would look, (think 5th ave or dodge diplomat) then check on here for the proper upper controll arms... really, you just need the spindles, you could buy new rotors local, and reman calipers.
