What's the best way to find a dead cylinder?

Compression check will give you an indication of engine health for starters.

Running too rich-can’t figure it out

I had a 440+6 in my 69 Barracuda that would foul the plugs. Of course I blamed the carbs. Turned out a junkyard ground strap fixed my weak spark. Electronic ignition needs good grounds to work properly even with good components.

    AC brackets

I bought some AC brackets off a junkyard 80's truck and used some flat steel to modify the brackets to fit a mini Sanden style AC compressor on my 408. Really wasn't difficult.

Interesting means of cleaning a carb

    I have a 3310 laying around, I think I will do it!

changing out oil pan while in car- done it?

I have replaced oil pans, small and big block without removing the engine. You will need to jack the engine off the motor mounts and drop the center link.

    slant 6???

Worth pulling /6 to "freshen up"?

I would do the compression check before pulling....everything is hooked up and it will be much easier.

    recommended carb rebuild kit?

I agree, these kits are okay with gas with alcohol. I bought my kits for my six-pack and everything was great.

    Compression PSI too high?

Ok, the gas mixture burns real fast...

Holley 350 rich as can be.

Crackedback is right.... Main jets limit fuel delivery at WOT and have nothing to do with idle quality.

Holley 350 rich as can be.

Make sure your ignition is working perfectly. Ensure it is grounded well. A weak spark can cause what you are seeing.

    225 holley 1bbl flooding

I had a similar problem with flooding. My sock filter in the gas tank was gonzo. I replaced it and that solved my problem.

    Stupid question

I have seen an engine started sitting on just the oil pan, so I guess anything is possible.

    Accelerator Cable

My throttle cable for my 69 383-S Barracuda came off a mid 70's ramcharger 4x4. It was an exact match. Take your old one and go to the junkyard, if you have one, and look for one that works.

Carburetor loses prime after 8+ hours

You might want to check your fuel lines from the tank to the carb. Today's gasoline is really hard on fuel lines and if you get a crack in the line, the fuel pump might not have enough suction to get going. My fuel line was cracked at the very top right off the gas tank, couldn't see it...

Oil pressure light coming on at idle

Yet another example of Mopar's better engineering!

Oil pressure light coming on at idle

My Nissan (I know it's not a Mopar) did the same thing. Turns out the oil pan got squashed in a bit and was sitting right on the pick-up tube screen. Knocked the oil pan back out and the problem was gone. Rod
