    Air cleaner question

Yes, reproduction of the original, only in chrome. I'm using that one on my car with my factory valve covers chromed too. Pie tin really sets them off.

Why is my fuel pressure gauge shacking?

Mine is steady until I start getting some fuel boiling (primarily from today's fuel mix). A regulator cannot regulate the gaseous state of gasoline and will show as a fluctuating gauge.

    Diagnosing a slow fuel leak

You could also just be running really rich. I have the gasoline smell in my garage after driving mine. Mine is from gas vaporization (boiling) in the fuel filter and carb.

    Chrome fuel pump clearance issues.

Look at the link in the original post. That will show you the pump. Very similar to other high output pumps.

    Chrome fuel pump clearance issues.

I've installed this chrome fuel pump and from what I can tell, it is functioning as it should. Here is the problem, the round case on the fuel pump touches a round casting area that sticks out the front of the passenger side block. I feel as though I'm getting heat soak out of the block into...

    Made a 3/8 pickup

I'm seriously considering doing the same. Maybe silver-solder (hard solder) the attachment points. My sender is like yours, takes that 90 degree turn. The "reproduction" units don't route the fuel line in the same location. I don't know if the newer routing is better or worse than the old...

Need New Fuel Sending Unit Recommendations

Yeah, that is the concern I am having. Sounds more like you also have an ohm issue (a sending unit that doesn't working correctly with mopar gauges) than an adjustment issue. If I can't find a good quality replacement (I'll look into the one listed here and hear any other stories) then I may...

Need New Fuel Sending Unit Recommendations

I'm surprised that I haven't had any responses. No one has bought a new correct working sending unit? Maybe I shouldn't ask 3/8" only... I'll include 5/16" to hear the brands.

Need New Fuel Sending Unit Recommendations

I have been scanning through the archives about fuel sending units and how several of the reproduction ones out there aren't the correct ohm rating and don't read correctly. However, I didn't see where anyone had actually found a source or brand for a good unit that DOES read correctly. Before...

    Car stops running....

Can you see the fuel in the fuel filter? Are you vapor locking or heat soak? Any sort of insulator under the carb?

    Fuel gauge reading wrong

the float extends out on an arm. the arm may be slightly bent causing it either to not read all the way full, or the opposite as someone one noted. You may need to tweak that arm by bending up or down to fix the issue. Only problem is that you have to have very little fuel in it to pull the...
