Where to find "correct" '67-'68 trunk weatherstrip source needed

No problem. It was all about the profile and that little tab that covers the edge.

    Fender emblem holes

Just as an FYI, the correct emblems are reproduced. http://www.pentastarparts.com.au/store/index.php?l=product_detail&p=4072

    Fender emblem holes

Nevernind, as noted in the discussion above, the hole spacing is different.

    Fender emblem holes

My understanding is that the 340S or 383S emblems replaces the "fish" emblem under the Barracuda script.

    Fender emblem holes

Just out of curiosity, have you looked at the back of the fender to verify that they have been welded shut? Many times you find that they are just filled with filler and you can get a sharp awl or other small wire or drill and open the holes back up. Even if they were welded, I doubt seriously...

    68 cuda hood inserts finish

Looking at your set, the worse looking part is the flat top that is going to get coated with textured argent paint anyways. Go to Eastwood and get their textured light argent paint and spray the top flat area. Looks like the darker argent is still there on yours... I actually used black...

    68 cuda hood inserts finish

1st, they are potmetal. Very hard to fill the pits correctly and rechrome properly. Next, once they are chromed, they have to be painted correctly so that the only chrome that shows is the outer lip and the top of the lines in the middle (or numbering if you have a 340-S or 383-S). There are...

Rear panel between tail lights 68 b-cuda

Actually, the spring special did come with the reflective maroon stripe. That was the model with the chrome edged grilles, the woodgrain steering wheel, the gills on the side, and the reflective maroon tail stripe. I kinda go back and forth on the reflective stripe. I actually have it...

    1967 Barracuda hood inserts

Depends on where they are broken and how deep. I was successful in setting up my drill press and drilling a hole where the broken pin was and using JBweld to attach a stud (basically a cut off bolt) in its place. It took me little time and creativity to set up a way prop up the bolt straight...

    68 cuda trunk mouldings

I have these on mine. I'm pretty happy with them, but keep in mind the fit and finish aren't quite as nice as the original aluminum... Primary concerns... they don't "bend" easily for fit and may leave slight gaps here and there. They are heavy which may lend for your trunk lid falling on your...

hood clearence and air gap intake

I don't think your airgap isn't any higher than my LD340 intake. I have a drop base aircleaner on mine with it just barely touchng the hoodpad.

    Windshield leaking

As for windshields, they should have sealer in both the groove where the glass sits and around the perimeter of the windshield frame where the seal sits. Mine had sealer all in those locations from factory. Here we are sealing mine up on our windshield install. OH, keep into consideration...

    Windshield Replacement

Aren't they the same windshield? Mine was listed for Barracuda, Valiant, Dart, etc. Safelite did mine and even had the gasket (although I had already bought one off ebay). I had to kinda educate the guy on how to install and to use my 3M bedding compound instead of their sealer. Worked out...

    69 cuda windows

I also ran a bead of the bed and glaze in the channel of the gasket where the glass sits since my was that way from the factory. I had the Safelite guy come with a new windshield and help with the install. I actually had to educate him on the proper way to set the windshield. It was a messy job...

    68 barracuda grille stud removal

That front nose piece that holds the grilles is held on by just a few bolts on the sides. With the help of a friend, it may be easier to remove the whole front nose section so you can lay it down on the ground to get the studs. Try to save as many as you can. The others, cut off and once you...

Where to find "correct" '67-'68 trunk weatherstrip source needed

Yes, the difference is the little lip that wraps around the edge of the metal covering the bare edge. I figured out that my old seal had shaped itself in the round shape. The new seal fits more like the original. Only complaint was there wasn't enough material to move the seam to the right as...

    windshield please help

Nothing should have been cut. All the seals I have seen have locked together perfectly. Also, I hope you have applied sealer to both the lip and the groove of the gasket where the glass fits. It is really a messy job if done correctly. I had to teach the glass guy how to do it on an older...

Wow, that looks like a sister car to mine. Mine was also an original white red stripe burgundy interior car. Good luck!!!

    Corrosion

Our soil here about 10 miles from the water is quite sandy. It is made up of shell and if you dig for a well, you come up with all sorts of old sharks teeth, shell, and bone. The local gravel pit hit a large area of tiny tan bivalves. As you can imagine, the minerals in the soil really can do...

    Corrosion

Right, the floor outgases moisture and other corrosive chemicals. If you are going to keep a "dirt" floor, then it needs a moisture barrier put down. Same with a concrete floor. It does no good if there is no moisture barrier under it.

    Corrosion

I live close to the beach of NC. Through high school, I parked my car on the waterfront as I waited tables at a local seafood restaurant. I would wash my car during the day, at night, it was covered with a thin film of salt spray (and there were no waves there). I would HIGHLY recommend...

    67-68 Cuda Fr-Park Lenses, the SAME ?

All three years have different lenses... good thing- they are being reproduced! I bought a pair for my Barracuda and the fit was perfect. Mine do not have the pentastar, but who is going to get that close and look with a 416 growling at them! LOL!

    Water in fresh air box

It could be as simple as a blocked drain. There are small holes on each side of the cowl you can clean out with a bent wire, or if you are really flexible and have a small arm/wrist, then you can reach up through the vent and try to see if there is a build up of debris you can remove that way...

    wiper button help

It is a typical press on. Shaft has one side that is flat. I just walked out and pulled mine straight off. I say lean it forward and see if you can dribble a little WD 40 or so in there.
