Tough to compare these, but your post is valuable info.
My cam is [email protected] 112LSA, 4.10 gear, 4500 man vb auto.
My idle is about 900. I can get it down a touch lower, but why would I. It likes 900.
Street car
There is no vacum advance on the MSD pro billet dizzy I run.
YOu have a good point, the mopar performance dizzy is full in at like 1200 or something
I'd like to toss this out there for input and discussion
I run an MSD Billet Dizzy with a 12 degree bushing. 26/28 in at 2500
I don't really see, since the Digital 6 has a 20 degree start retard, why you couldn't lock the dizzy at 34-38 range. The car is light, 4.10 gears and a [email protected] cam...
IF you guys want blue tooth they sell cigarette blue tooth plug in units for 35$ at Best buy. They play through your factory radio. Just pick a station with nothing but static.
What is the total timing? 30 is a lot of initial and I doubt it has an 8 degree curve in it.
If it idles at 30 degrees and you back it off to 15 and it wont idle, that is normal. The idle will drop when you pull initial away. Adjust your idle setting.
You really need to start by setting your...
I've had many issues with those distributers. They are bushed instead of ball bearing, the advance curve is way too fast for most street cars. I hate to say throw parts at it but i'd be looking into an easy to adjust ball bearing type. FBO sells bigger bushings for the MSD billet, which I am a...
I've used Powermaster. The biggest issue I had was mounting. It used a custom universal mount.
I've used Tuffstuff 100amp 1-wire and had it fail.
Currently I run a 100amp Mopar 1 wire and knock on wood.....
NGK seems to have two heat ranges for the 440, a (4) and a (5).
They are the XR4 and the XR5.
Anyone have any experience with these or any recommendations?
Engine is a 440, 602hp 10.5:1, [email protected], .650, 112LSA, eddy RPm heads
I've used Taylor wires. They worked well. I'm using Moroso now.
I always make my own wire sets, and that is what I'd recommend you do if you want specific ends and a quality fit.
I like MSD and have 3 that have been in service for decades, but if that isn't your flavor, I'd be looking into a PerTronix box, any CDI, or an HEI ignition.
Mopar makes a 110amp alternator in a stock mopar case.
That's what I run. Proform Parts 440-473 Proform Alternators | Summit Racing
I did run a tuff stuff, but that one went bad. The Mopar one has held up well.
