Well, the beauty with both women and cars is they have a front and a back and many of them should only be admired from a distance.

It depends on the level of re-paint. Are you changing the color? How much work does it need? How far do you want it stripped down? What paint is currently on it. Around me you are looking at 5-10 for a basic re-paint and about 20k for essentially a frame off really stripped down job.

Base coat is mostly just color. The paint job is all in the clear.

YOu can also swiss cheese and trim the factory brackets. I used a plasma cutter and a 1" step bit.

There are 6 bolts IIRC on the rear bumper. Are you talking about only using the outer most two mounts? Lingenfelter makes aluminum brackets for steel and glass bumpers. I have them on my car and they fit perfectly.

SOunds like a good excuse to upgrade to Lingenfelter brackets

Glasstek has quality parts. Unlimted is terrible. My AAR hood needed a lot of blocking, but i've heard they've improved. .

Foam (soft edge) tape is how you do it.

I have no access on mine to the backside of that bracket. They are a PITA to get those bolt on. My hand alone barely can get up in there.

If you really want the badge you could make it a stick on emblem by grinding the posts of or have a sticker made

drilling holes for badges will give you rust areas in the long run. It's a 71 a body.. leave the emblem off.

I glued my scoop on with panel adhesive from the auto body store. Then glassed it into the hood.

Every pound counts. I'm certain you can pull at least one pound out of the from bumper mounts/brackets. I know you can on a 67-69 dart. Just getting rid of those ugly cow pushers would help
