    Freeze Plug Sludge

    Found one of mine leaking last year also found the sludge and crap. Pull all the plugs flush the motor replace plugs with sealant around plugs good to go.

    When I swapped mine I went with the b and m flex plate worked perfect. Not sure about motor mounts for you mine was a straight across a body to a body with spool mounts.

    Take it out in one shot though plug up the trans end with an old yoke or somthing to lessen trans oil spillage. If you have headers lay them in and through suspension parts etc before re-installing motor wayyy easier. Just be prepared for the feeling of wanting to beat the car with a hammer...

    Running one on a 360 with a carter so far it is good. Pulls like crazy on the bottom end.

    Bite the bullet pull the motor pop out all the plugs flush the crap out and put brass plugs in. You will be much happier ask me how I know.

    Are all 360's balanced the same?

    The flexplate should be the same if going straight across. When going from an external to internal balanced converter or an aftermarket converter then a flexplate like discussed would be needed.

    That all depends what the 904 was backing. When I installed my 360 a flexplate change was needed because my 318 was internally balanced and the 360 was an external balance engine. Clear as mud right? But as far as I know all LA 360s were balanced the same.
