    Carpet Install Questions

Do you mean cut 2" openings in the carpet? or just the padding? Could you just use a soldering iron on the padding and the carpet?

    Carpet Install Questions

Thanks. Soldering iron is a good tip. Have to wait a while to leave the carpet out in the sun though. Only about 50*F here.

    Carpet Install Questions

Thanks for the reply. I have the performed carpet from Dante's. The old carpet was already out when I bought the car though, so I'm not sure how it was put in. What kind of sound deadener? Cheap is good. I thought I read a thread about some from Home Depot????

    Carpet Install Questions

Never put in a carpet before. Anything I should know? Do I have to put in some sound proofing? If so, what kind? Do you glue it down? Thanks Nigel

    Measuring the Headrest

Any suggestions on where to get a good pair of quality hog ring pliers? Should I get the bent or straight ones? I see Eastwood sells them on Ebag. Is that a good price? Thanks Nigel

    Spray Painting My Cloth Headliner

I know, I know I should just replace it, but it's still in good shape. Right now it's green and I want to spray paint it black. Has anyone tried this? What kind of paint should I use? I've read that some craft stores make special paints just for painting fabric. Thanks Nigel (cheap)

    Measuring the Headrest

Thanks RedScampi, I measured from the top of the pleat seam to the top of the head rest and got 9.5 inches. Close enough to call it 9 inches, I guess. Unless I've got a measuring problem as well. Let me know how your cover install goes. I'd appreciate any tips. Nigel

    Measuring the Headrest

I'm ordering new seat covers from Dante's and I need to measure my headrest to see if it is 7 inches or 9 inches. On the enclosed pic, where do I measure from? #1 or #2 ? Thanks Nigel PS: I'd get my wife to measure, but she isn't real good with measuring inches. (thank goodness):love7:
