    So true they could be considered crumple zones in todays cars. I have wrecked two mopars in my past, a 65 and a 71 both times broke my nose on the steering wheel.

    Ball joints, control arm bushings, about anything that turns in the front end is suspect.

    275's on a factory 7" rim. Mancini XHD springs with a 1" lowering block.

    I had good luck with the XHD Mancini springs, but I bought them around 8 years ago, the pic is with a 1" lowering block, because they sat too high.

    I put Mancini's xhd springs on my Duster, but added a 1" lowering block. They are fine, and are not stiff.

    The last few years I have seen several A body 8.75 bare housings for sale for $100 at Carlisle. I even pulled my tape measure out last year and helped a guy to confirm the measurements on one. $650 is reasonable if complete, also the shock plates are different than a 7.25, grab them.

    I just went thru this on a seized one, ended up putting some thin pieces of wood on the steering box, and used a pneumatic air hammer with a pickle fork attachment to remove it. I got the pneumatic pickle forks from Amazon.
