Mancini Extra Heavy Duty Rear leaf Springs

-
I have a set on my Duster they ride fine.
I ended up putting a 1” lowering block in mine.

I did just that. Excellent choice. 1 inch over bend, 6 leaf each side.
Great
I am going to use a set of tires that I have on hand BFG 275/60-15.
I would hope that the extra one inch of arch will give me enough tire clearance?

That is the tire size on my Duster, but I believe the Dusters wheel openings are larger.

Springs are actually from JR Spring in Michigan. Google it to find them. They are made out of Mexico thou.

I had them on a ‘74 Duster with a tremendous amount of room. Like S/S springs. Not as high after they settled down a bit. From my old thread...
The big tire vs. the same size on all 4 corners- 225/75/15 vs. 215/70/14

I also saw those.
My concern with a stock ride height spring is tire clearance.
Not sure if they will work with 275/60-15 ?
I bought Espo springs. They have 1" and 2" over I believe. I bought the stock ones for my 66. I mis ordered and got the 5 leaf and not the 6 like it was built with. Here's a photo after 10 years and some 235/70-15's on the rear.

For a contrast, on the ‘71, 3600lbs. S/S springs with 275/60/15’s.
These will be removed for a better spring when the time comes. They were out on just to complete the car so I can move it. Everything is very rough... but notice the amount of area above the tire. You can stick your head in there.

Looks good. Maybe a good mistake in ordering. Smoother ride too.

For what it's worth, my '68 convertible weighs 3750 lbs without me in it. I run a pair of the passenger side 3200lbs SS springs with Koni shocks from Firm Feel and a set of well adjusted slapper bars on it. So far, it's the best combination of ride smoothness, road compliance and traction I've found in the last 4 decades. If you use a pair of driver's side 3200 lbs springs, the car will sit slightly lower. The 3700 lbs springs are just way to stiff for daily driver use, and they sit too high.

Initially I could feel the front spring segment wrapping pretty bad on hard launch without the slapper bars, so I put some on. It was shocking how hard my car hooks up out of the hole with them on there.

The photo here shows the 275/65-15 Nitto Drag Radials. I like having more ground clearance on the open road and around town, but don't want to compromise the handling too much compared to having it sit lower. It never rubs.

My duster with a 1" lowering block.
If the springs ever sag, I will remove the block.

When I say I like my ride low I guess I mean no higher than stock. When said 5 leaf 1" over, does 1" mean 1" longer ?

But it’s normally higher than 1 inch.

Mancini Racing Extra Heavy Duty Leaf Spring Set
I am thinking about using a pair of these on my 67 Barracuda fastback.
Anyone have any experience with these springs?
My main concern is about the stiffness of the ride.
Thanks in advance
Just installed my new 6 leaf ESPO springs with and additional 1 inch of arch.
Gained 7/8 inch in ride height, car now sits level and the ride is very nice.
For once something went well.
