The big block MoPar release date of 1958 and the slant 6 1960. Then along came the rat chevy 1963 or 64. All these engines have the same crankshaft to camshaft centerline. GM must have thought MoPar had it right to copy the dimension.

Green Grenade was 1050 lbs. wet without driver. 130" wheelbase, aluminum slant with a 904 transmission and an 8 3/4. Green Grenade is no longer going to be slant powered. I sold the dragster less the engine.

If you want to hear a slant 6 with a Pete Jackson big block MoPar gear drive go to youtube and put in "Green Grenade Mo-Kan Dragway". I think the sound might be louder than an iron block with a gear drive as this sound is with an aluminum engine block.
