    No Valiant Love?

Valiants are ugly. Especially these cheapy old early-As, painted appliance white and owned by even cheaper Mopar enthusiasts that just don’t know how to appreciate a nice modern muscle car….oops was I talking out loud about myself again?

15 inch wheels on early A body pictures

Keep in mind that the Pirate Jack kit if it uses 73+ spindles will push the track width out a bit. I did a similar swap using the Dr Diff kit and my taller tires rubbed on the front of the fender on my valiant. Had to swap to a shorter tire.

What Oil Pan for QA1 Suspension Kit?

It’s not the sump that interferes with the rack right? It’s the area in front of the sump? This is like the third Early A owner I’ve seen report this issue with the QA1. One guy notched his pan to allow the clearance. I agree with the others though. Ask QA1 what they recommend.

    MOPAR Dead?

Dodge produced millions of the 5.2 and 5.9 Magnums for about 10 years, introduced the Gen3 Hemi 20 years ago and there must be millions of those in circulation as well. That’s more than enough high HP potential transplants for the only Mopars I ever cared about; A, B, E bodies etc. For how many...

1964 plymouth valiant with 225/60/15s for the front

Mine touches on the passenger side only when I turn it in. The driver side clears when the car is set a little higher, but it’s close. I’ve tried trimming the corner of the pass side to get more clearance. I’m going to try a lower profile tire.

1964 plymouth valiant with 225/60/15s for the front

I also tried with my 15x5.5 Steelies with 3.5” backspace and same tires (165/80R/15) and they rubbed in the same front corner. BTW- I love the look of those BFGs on your car. That profile looks perfect. If the wheels had a little more backspace I think you’d be in the clear.

1964 plymouth valiant with 225/60/15s for the front

I have the exact same brake kit. They push the will mount surface out a lot. Mine are rubbing in the same spot. More on the passenger side. I’ve tried raising and lowering the suspension but no luck. My tires are a little taller than yours also. Also mine is a 65 but has 64 fenders. I’m debating...

1964 plymouth valiant with 225/60/15s for the front

What brake setup do you have on the front of the car? I just put the 73+ spindle based disks on mine and it pushed the wheels out causing rubbing issues in the exact same spot on my 65.

This thread inspired me to mock up my '94 2 1/8" manifolds on my 65. I believe these may have come from a van. I tried these and a smaller outlet manifold on the driver's side and the clearance issues look to be the same. They're both really close. Maybe shave an 1/8"

Could use a little 66 dart schooling....

You're gonna love it as a little street/strip car. The early As can be a pain to work on in the tiny engine compartment (headers are a pain) but they make for nice, lightweight race platforms. If yours is an original slant car, you'll need a V8 dropped center link and small block motor mounts...

    Mini tub and backseat

Finished my mini tub on my 65 Valiant a couple months back using the split wheel wells. For those of you that don't have a fold down backseat like in a Barracuda, what mods are you doing to the back seat after a mini tub to make it fit? Early A of course (63-66 Dart or Valiant), The bottom...
