Anyone here put a 354 in a Dart?

You BUILD Your Car for You. Anybody that thinks they need an air saw to install a Dana 60 is an idiot. Look at the picture again. Look at my car. Dana 60 cut to 57". 275/40/17's. You roll the quarter's- you don't hack them. Takes talent. I've been massaging "Gems" for over forty years. Some...

    fuel recommendations

When you start adding more performance parts- you can run 1 Gallon of AV Gas to 10 Gallons of 93 Octane. I use AV Gas because I have Airport Access, but if you look around- someone within 50 60 miles from you will sell 110 Octane. Only difference's is AV Gas is Blue(from dye) in color and has...

Anyone here put a 354 in a Dart?

I just came back from Mecum in Kissimmee, FL- NOTHING is more Beautiful, More Mopar, than a Hemi stuffed into an A Body- NOTHING. Aftermarket is out there, but some things need to be fabricated. You need all hands on deck for this operation and a relatively small roll of Hundred's. tpg HEMI...

    BB to /6 904

I just went from a Torque Flight 727 to a A833 4 Speed. I had my 727 Completely gone through- one or two smokey burnouts in the driveway. Slams second hard, and a healthy hit in third. I doubt you can use the 3000 Stall Torque Converter I had built to match my 10.5:1, Lunati Cam'd, 1967 383HP...

    Which K member?

Make sure you buy Schumacher Swap Kit Parts. The swill that is being sold on Sleaze Bay is absolute puke. I bought some. One look and I tossed them on my metal scrap pile. Google Schumacher Engine Swap Kit. Important information. Read it. It will ultimately save you time, which is money- and...

Need help tuning a six pack

The first and most important thing I've found on setting up a Six Pack is to make sure the outboard carburetor's butterflies have a super tight seal against the base plate. This is easy to check: With engine at idle, no air cleaner, put your hand over each carb, one at a time, as if to choke it...

    73 dart 440 install

A Body Big Block Exhaust Manifolds are restrictive to some extent depending on how you build your engine. For the money you will pay for a set you can have excellent fitting/looking Schumacher Ceramic Coat Headers. Schumacher also sells quality engine swap mounts and torque strap which make the...

What oil is best for a 440bb

I use Valvoline 40 Weight. I'm in the Sunshine State and wouldn't bother with Multi Viscocity Oils. Most older engines are a little loose, heck they came from the factory that way, let alone having a bunch of miles on them. Todays engines are built with tighter tolerances and can survive on...

    68 GTS 383 with PB & PS

Dodge/Plymouth started installing B Engine-383's into A Body's in '67. '69 brought out the RB Engine-440 into A Body's. Everyone knows when the 426's were installed? And by who? We had one '68 426 Hemi Dart in my hometown, just outside the Motor City. Street Legal, sort of. Hey, it did have a...

440 Big Block in my 1970 Dart

Yes Sir, 383 factory spec. torsion bars. and KH Manual Disc's. Also added US Car Tool Frame Connectors. Giving some thought to installing they're Torque Boxes. I'm running peewee 235's on the rear(3.55:1SG) Not going Drag Racing, just want to make some noise and shred the grippers. Thanks

'71 Duster 440 or 360? Pros and cons

In my humble opinion you should go with the small block. The money you would spend on headers, engine mounts, k-member mod's, a 727 trans/torque converter, driveshaft modifications, big block radiator/hoses, fan shroud, bigger battery, torsion bar upgrade, and the time you'll have chasing down...

Big Block Accelerator Cable Length 4 A Body

I found a usefull bit of information on this topic from a website by AREngineering. There is a lot of conjecture and a lot more misinformation from many different friends/accquaitanances/media sources. The simple fact is that Dodge still carries suitable Accelerator Cables for B, RB, Engine...
