Afternoon project? 1973+ bumper reinforcment removal for weight reduction...worth it?

I’m not sure it would be a direct bolt on for a ‘73, but an alternative if you don’t want to lose the crash protection, is the aluminum pieces that mount the bumpers (backer bars for want of a better term) and plastic filler strips from the ‘76 Feather Duster/Dart Lite. Of course, finding said...

issue with AMD Demon floor pan..please help newbie

Are you lap seaming the floor and stitch welding? Or using sheet metal panel clamps and butting the seams so that you can connect all the stitch welds together and smooth them out to look and act original?

How to turn a hardtop into a covertible?

If you just want a post 69 Dart convertible, I think I saw the yellow one the owner of Wildcat Auto Wrecking owns or used to own for sale not that long ago. Maybe they (Wildcat) could help you track it down. If not, a few polite questions about it's construction might be answered.

How to turn a hardtop into a covertible?

Get a parts car with all the parts unique to the convertible version of your particular car still usable and in good shape, then be prepared to spend far more time and money than it's worth making what you could have bought.

    1965 Barracuda Trunk support questions

Try searching for FABO thread #163902 from 28 Nov 11. Poster came up with a nitrogen strut solution to hold it up using the stock hook into the fender and even gave the part numbers for what he found.

    Can't find matching paint!

Didn't PPG change the paint code for Curious Yellow to some horrible off yellow state green machinery colour some years back. Seems I read here recently of someone getting them to reformulate the colour back to the original and giving said owner enough of the reformatted paint for a complete...

    "Tor-Red A-2205, E-2205" Pictures please !!

Lets see, you're not doing a restoration and have non stock parts on it, the motor and engine box have been painted in non original to your car colour(s), you're planning on going with a different exterior colour than mother Mopar built it with, and now you're about worried using stripes not...

    Rear bumper swap 74' to a 73'???

Time to get them both out on the floor. Compare bumper shape, size, bumper guards (if used), and mounting bolt locations. Then compare mounting brackets (or shocks), facebars (or lack of), and rear body panels of the two cars. Should tell you everything you need to know. Then you can tell...

    Wiper seals

Only way to get all the leaves, pine needles, and misc. debris out of the otherwise unaccessible cowl plenum is to remove the fresh air plenum boxes hanging down from the underside, then stick your arm(s) up through the now open holes with whatever tools you need (scrapers, sponges, scotchbright...

Pre 73 hood on with 73 up front end.

I've been thinking about the same thing, only using a Barracuda hood and upper grille surround (and yes I know the flat hood on '69 Barracudas was shared with later Darts).

    Wiper seals

Don't get them off the help boards at your friendly local generic auto parts store, they don't last long enough to even screw with. After THAT exercise in futility, I bought a set of genuine Mopar ones (buy it now Egay) from a Mopar vendor. The Mopar ones are still there doing what they're...

opinion on cuda fender "gills" on 69

It is a 67-9, not a 71. Why not pull the fenders, take them to someone with a louver press, and put real louvers in the fenders. That way you would have your choice of innies or outties, forward or rear facing, and scale the size, length, and placement of them to something proportionate on the...
