Yeah that was my 67 valiant.. I sold years ago.. the framework was started by previous owner I attempted to finish.. this was not a kit full tubing running thru the connectors.. I would have done differently with the resources I have available today!

Go to your local welding supply store and get a band clamp (should be around $15- $20) you can bolt or weld it to your cart. Great improvment over the chains (you can keep the chains on also for added protection) Helps stiffen up the cart as an added bonus!

I have been playing with the same problem with my '67 valiant on keeping the back bench. if you go outside of the speak holes you are ending your bars on top of the rear wheel-wells, not were you want to be. If you go in between the speaker holes the rear down bars will tie into the main hoop...
