Anyone in CA recognize this Dart?

There will be no transaction anywhere near the asking price for sure :D but mostly asking out of curiosity. Would be a good base no doubt. Looks to be a roadworthy in its current state.

Anyone in CA recognize this Dart?

Came across this '70 Dart today in the Salt Lake City area. Seems like a clean car, and was told by current owner it came out of California. It's a 340, full roll cage, mini tubbed, braced 8 3/4, and was told it had run in the 10s on nitrous, but can't believe everything you hear. Didn't see...

Vin switch from rusty to trusty?

It sounds like your buddy does not have a "replacement" car yet. But we can safely assume the "replacement" car will have a VIN of it's own. As others have mentioned, swap drive train, and other misc parts and be done. Doesn't seem there would be any good reason to make this VIN swap, even if...

    almost lost my finger yesterday

No good man! I've tried to lose a finger working on car stuff too, but the were able to do a little body work and get things stitched back to where they need to be. They can definitely do some amazing stuff. Hope all goes well for you.

This chev guy joined in the conversation and heard me talking about my Duster, which at the time ran 11.40's, 11.50's in the 1/4. He proceeded to tell me he could...

Strangest thing found in your A body???

Not an A body, but cleaning out my 56 Desoto, I found a cat long since dead, an unopened can of Valvoline oil(remember when a can of oil was actually a can?) an early Hemi valve cover, and the original ignition key to the car under the front seat. Now if I can ever get back to working on that...
