    carb problem?

Start by fully warming up the car. Then pull off the air cleaner and see if it open or closed. Don't mess with any settings on the carb until you know what the problem is.

    Opened up my carb today..

Sounds like the carb is not clean enough. Be sure to use compessed air to blow out every passage way. Easy carb to work on but they need to be immaculate inside.

    carter or weber?

There is a four digit # on the lower left side of the carb. Do a search for it or post it here. I don't have #'s for them but someone may know.

    weird fuel problem

I'm guessing with all the recent work done the tank was bad? If so, the carb may need a good cleaning. Pop the top off & have a look inside the bowls. It will propably have a bunch of crud inside. Pull it and clean it well, then use compressed air to blow out all the passage ways. Don't lose the...

Can;t get gas up to carb

The tank must vent or there will be excessive vacuum. The pump will stuggle to pull fuel. I would not think the pump was bad as you indicated it works by bypassing the tank with a long hose. Jamesdart is correct, take off the gas cap and try running it.

Can;t get gas up to carb

Does your Duster have California emissions ie charcoal canister etc? You may have the wrong sending unit or a previouse owner may have bypassed the fuel routing(s). Just a thought

Can;t get gas up to carb

On the sending unit, the fuel line should be at 9:00 and the gauge wire directly across at 3:00 (on belly looking at tank). The float arm has a stop to bottom on. This will help placement in the tank. Hope this makes sence.

Are you sure the sending unit is not installed upside down? Just gotta ask, stranger things have happened.

HELP! Can't start my '67 Dart

Agee With gas these days it tends to gunk up carbs when a car sits. If/when you crack it open, blow out every passage way too.

    Where does this go?

It is the float baffle. I believe the small narrow end goes down 1st?

    Edelbrock or T-Quad

There is nothing like opening up the secondaries on a Thermo-bog. They can be an awesome carb BUT they are finiky as all hell. If you got a good one use it until it gives you probs. If/when it does start acting up, run for the Eddy! TQ'S are very complex to rebuild and also tend to warp causing...
