67-69 Dart...275/60/15 drag radials...how low is your stance?

After triming the fender lip and a small 3/16 wheel spacer on one side I have all but eliminated any rubbing in normal streel driving. Tight fit but is possible and my car sits pretty low. The top of rim is about at fender lip . Ive had it lower than pictures but just wasnt happy overall with...

    anyone running skinnies up front?

Shouldn't be a problem, I have ran 3.5" wheels with different brakes including wilwood, never any caliper wheel clearance issues.

    Proper backspacing for A Body 8 3/4

Think the 4.25 backspacing would work pretty nicely with a 8" wheel for being centered on a all stock a body.

Anybody ever reseal a Centerline rim?

Not sure how you would take a centerline apart or more importantly how you would reassemble them. I have scraped out the old silicon and resealed with success.

Tallest tire fitment on rear of Scamp

I run 275/60/15 rear tires on the back of my 68 Dart, The 28" tall will fit but it's really close to the rocker on my car. The drivers side probably 1/4", passenger side has close to 1/2" gotta love the factory tolerances. You could always space the springs back a little if they were to close...

how do I adapt 5x4 with 1/2"X20 stud to SS cragars

Willwood use 1/2" screw in studs. I would open up the hole on the wheel just enough for the wheel to fit providing the nuts, washers, and/or taper is correct on the larger 1/2" lug nuts.

acceptable bs on a 18x8 mustang wheel...66 cuda

If you have four wheel disc brakes and large bolt pattern. Your car is not stock, there is no one here that can say for sure what backspacing you're going to need. Best bet is take some measurements. Probable going to be in the 5" range for backspacing if you move the rear springs in a little...

    Will a 15x10 wheel with 7.25 backspace fit a 1970 Dart with 8.25 Rear

This answer is way over simplified but here goes. Any wheel over 4.5" of backspacing is going to be at risk of the tire hitting the leaf spring on the rear of a stock "A" body depending on tire bulge. If you relocate the leaf springs and mini tub the fenders giving yourself an extra 3" of...

off set on a stock 72 dart

I'm not aware of any 8" wide Centerlines. I have seen and used the 15" X 8.5" Centerlines that have a 4-7/8" backspacing. They will work with a small tire 235/60/15 or 225/60/15 it's kind of narrow for that wheel and it makes for a tight fit in the fender. See pictures below. I feel that a 15"...

    10" wide tire on a 66 Barracuda?

If you're not going to mini tub the car. You might be able to just buy the kit that moves the springs in .75" on each side. This will allow you to run max tire section size of about 10" in the stock fenders providing you get a 7 or 8" rim with proper backspacing to center the wheel between the...

    That modern look....

The big wheels are starting to grow on me. I also like some of the more modern wheels as shown on the nicely done autox Demon, I think that car is bad ***. The 68 rag top Dart is a very cool cruiser too and I like those wheels as well but tend to agree the tire sidewall on the rear is a little...

    Will 15" x 10" fit?

There's a lot of variables but with a 4" back spacing, they are going to be sticking out an inch or so I believe. Might work if your running your car pretty high in the back. Just a opinion but I think the 275 tire would look fine on a 8" rim.

will 17x11 wheel fit between my frame rail and body...

It would probably fit fine with a 12.5" tire section width or less and the right rim backspacing. I have an early A that is tubed and there is about 13.5" between the body and rear frame.

    Wheel specs for 69 Valiant

Always a good idea to measure, but if it's all stock A body stuff in factory locations. A 15X8 with a 4.5'" backspace would be a good start for the rear of a 69 Valiant. IMO

Anyone running billet specialties street lites?...question.

Lug Nut Shank Diameter (in):0.679-0.687 in. Nice wheels, I don't think 1/2" studs would be a problem that is a pretty standard size. Let look up lug nuts. Yep these lug nuts will work with those wheels and 1/2 studs except you would want standard style washers...

Anybody know what kind of wheels these are?

Don't know on the wheels but darn nice looking Valiant. Would really like to see more pictures of what you have there if your willing to share. I have the same Valiant in the stalled project stage for many years.

    15x8 steel wheels all around?

All right first I have never tried 15X8 wheels on the front. But based on fitting some 18X9 on the front of a 72 Dart. I believe those 245-60-15 tire wont work for two reasons. They are 26.6" tall that is problem one, I think your likely to have problems with anything over 26" tall rubbing at...

There is a guy on craigslist in Ontario selling these wheels on the side. I guess he works for the distrubutor or something seems legit, sells from his home. They are called Bullit Replicas I think, .you can buy them online as well. The Dart was painted when I bought it, was suppose to be...

Custom made wheel caps for Bullit wheels on a Mopar

In addition to the cost of the billet aluminum caps they didn't look deep enough to work on my front wheels. So I have been keeping an eye open for an affordable alternative. Here is what I finally came up with. Picked them up at fall fling from one of the vendors for $10 ea. I didn't...

    Pro touring wheels

That is true, the problem I ran into is budget and tire selection. Those wheels I have are Mustang replica wheels and are reasonably priced at $150.00 ea new. Pro touring wheels

Running a 285-40-18 in the rear. I like the 27" tall height on this tire and it's a pretty common size so you can find them reasonably priced. Running a 245-40-18 in the front. It's 25.5 tall and a little narrow for the wheel. I'm thinking about going to a 255-40-18 that's about 26" tall and a...

    Measuring for Backspace Front Wheels

Best way is to use a wheel with a know backspace. With that said your in the right ballpark. I run a 18"X9" with a 6.3" back space on front and it's about perfect. Keep in mind smaller diameter wheels or dropped spindles change everything as the outer tie rod can start hitting the rim or tire...

    centerline front runners

That's common problem with the skinny Centerlines . I have had mixed success in digging out old silicon and reapplying a new bead. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't and needs a tube. Dig out old silicon, clean them up as good as possible and reapply using 100% clear silicon would be my...
