Solid rollers with off set push rod hole issue.

I was curious to see the position & progression of the spalling pattern on a 'mirror offset' lobe. That's not a ton of lube, I'd run that past the grinder for input, best of luck & keep Us posted...

    Tips for the track?

Taking the clamps off lets the car anti squat and push the tire into the track. Clamps on the rear hinder the process. IMHO.

 I was using that to show friends what the backup looked like in the Chesapeake after the bridge collapse. The number of vessels underway is mind boggling. Bollinger Amelia Repair?

    Offset rocker arm question

Mopar shaft mounted intake rocker arms are 0.775” offset and TA are 0.500”. The Jessel and T&D W2 style like you are intending to use may be different offsets.

How many of you grease your own trailer axles?

I repack the bearings once a year, usually around this time of year before the road starts getting really hot with the summer heat. This time of year is a good time to replace dry rotted tires and give the whole trailer a good inspection. Summer heat changes a lot of things and really...

    Lean idle. Rich cruise.

Well since this topic has wandered all over the place, for those interested in a deep dive with Shrinker, and Klaus came across this one while looking for a different thread. It does touch on timing for a race car. Also Klaus's explanation for rich - lean changes between gears better answers...

How many of you grease your own trailer axles?

I've seen to many trailer axles with the brakes full of grease....Bearing Buddies are a disaster waiting to happen... Take the damn things apart every few years clean & repack... And don't crank the bearings down to tight.... Like the O/P stated, "so I tightened them until the brake drum...

Where is the timing at 5800 and at 7000? You probably need 2 degrees more at 7000 than you do at 5800. Are you foot breaking or on the trans brake? Damn. I had one more question and I forgot it. If I think of it it I’ll ask.

    340 motor mount orientation

In 1st pic can you remove/flip the isolator? It looks like it's sticking way put beyond the bracket?

    340 motor mount orientation

Don't the mounting brackets go behind the ears on the driver's side, and in front of the ears on the passenger side. The photo also shows the passenger side behind the block ears

[FOR SALE] Dark green carpet - 1970 Dart

Do you have a part number and manufacturer for this? I'd like go see if I could make this fit in a 69 Dart. I'm guessing this was for a bench seat and auto on the column car?

I beleive you that no one at the company's could, or were willing, to say why they were following this fad. Techniques that Brasswell used for specific race cars can not be applied broadly. Somehow that got missed by some the folks who wanted to sell us on the newest latest and greatest. I'd...

my car is a bracket car with a loose converter. The rpm window is narrow, I leave at 5800 and shift at 7000. I have no dyno to try just track time. Only have 1 distributor also.

Funny that with the AIS system you can go online and track ships in real time. Would have made WW2 so much easier for the U-boats if they had this system.

    My 1969 1/2 440 ‘cuda

Steering wheel cleaned up nicely with some fine steel wool. Had to fix one crack in it with epoxy. Wire wheeled the whole dash then had to try and figure out where to hang it so I could paint it.
