Machinist will not build engine unless roller cam is used!

I wouldn’t blame any machine shop these days with the amount of failed flat tappets. The good ones take pride in what they do and want to build quality engines. Hard to do when quality control is lost on global economies. No Idea where parts are made could say US but the metal is inferior metals...

440 Jensen Interceptor Exhaust Crossover / Balance Pipe

See if you can find a Dr. Gas X-type Crossover around there. I know he sold some overseas. They will smooth the exhaust tone but not sure the owner will be able to tell inside as much. Maybe I missed it but what mufflers do they use?

Is it ok to copy a W5 head and make it better or are we just mad at Speedmaster

Probably stating the obvious here but you have to read between the lines sometimes. Regardless of where the castings are made, Speedmaster heads are a less costly initial investment but if you want to get the most out of them you're going to put some time and effort into them which is a...

Stop in for a cup of coffee

Had to stop for a coffee. Both feet were numb. Or numb-er than usual. 1/2 way across back of cab, the asphalt is coming off pretty easy. Torch and a scraper. And i see Fred’s rain showed up in the last 10 minutes. Why couldnt he keep it there?? I think my goal may be achievable, getting cab...

I think my wind event was a microburst, couldn't see any other damage around here. Put on some Hoyt Axxton while I was covering up the DeSoto that was on the lift. Also tarped the roof to help keep some rain out.

TRW Pump jammed circlip and bearing press

Cross posting for more help. My TRW pump is off my '67 Plymouth Fury. My plan was to take the reservoir off and only replace the large reservoir o-ring, but while it was apart I noticed the circlip on the flow control valve was jammed. That's when I decided to tear the whole thing down. After...
