    I've heard sbc +.050 and sbc +.100. What is actual length in inches. Thanks.

    200cc port.

    Why is it so easy to make a sbc head with a 200cc intake port. But seams impossible for a sbm. I know they are of different design but it doesn't seem that different.

    Bypass hose

    Why am I blowing bypass hoses. Blown up two in a week. Only thing changed is new belt. Anyone else have this problem. I think belt was slipping before, but this still shouldn't be a problem. Thanks.

    I just received my speed pro full groove main bearings for my 340. Why are 2 shells groove less. The picture in summit shows this also. The are listed as full groove.

    engine mounts

    I have a 68 dart with a 340 in it. Is it typical for the engine mount studs to bottom out in the k-frame slots. Mine does and it preloads the mounts and they eventually sheer. I believe everything is right as far as the mounts go. Car was a 318 car form the factory. Thanks.

    rings for 340

    I want to freshen my 340 soon. It has the 10.5 to 1 forged replacement pistons at 4.070. I cant find a file fit ring for this in a 5/64 thickness. I can find a 4.078 ring. Can I file fit the 4.078 or is this to much difference. Thanks.

    Main bearings

    Can I use 318 main bearings in a 340. I want 3/4 groove mains and can only find them for a 318. Summit lists 318 and 340 mains separately. Its been awhile but I think my 340 currently has 318 full groove mains I got off ebay. I remember grinding to change the upper main locating slot on something.

    Have a problem with a holley 650 I just put on my 340. Car runs fine at idle, 1/4 throttle, and full throttle. It misses at 1/2 to 3/4 throttle. Hole shot is awesome.
