I am thinking a pair of Eddy 600 1404's set up for jetted for dual quad operation on the D66 for my 408, I had the manifold flowed at 498hp,carbs are these in fact:

I can get hold of a pair of rebuilt 4131S Carter AFB's (575CFM) for the right price, how would they go on a D66 Edelbrock dual quad manifold for my 408 stroker? I know there are better stuff around just like the dual quads look, thanks Brian:iconbigg:

Anyone know how many thou per 1 point of compression when it come to machining these heads? I know the J heads are 5 thou per point, just don't know about the eddy's. eg: eddy's I have are now 64cc, want them at 58cc.

Guys, I need to skim 060 thou off the top of my old school TRW's, I believe it should be OK but after some thoughts?
They are currently out of the hole 060 and with my head CC it is to much compression.

I have a 340 plus 040 (4.080), Head is 66.5cc, pistons are TRW L2316 040 (I think they are 6cc) they have the 2 valve reliefs and a hole in the centre ??, piston sticks out 0.055", head gasket (felpro) 0.050??, stroke is standard (3.31') can some one tell me the comp ratio please!
