Did the 71/72 Demon/Duster 340 use the 90 deg oil filter adapter with the center outlet 3418623 manifold?

Would a "J" head be correct for a 72 340? Getting parts together for the machine shop and the question came up as to what's correct. I'm building this car to run the pure stock drags, and I think they get particular with casting numbers. The car is a 72 Demon built 8-71

unfortunately it looks like I have a leaking rear main in the 70 Dart. I have a replacement Fel Pro seal to install. My Goal would be to change it in the car, without jacking up the motor, by pulling the steering linkage. Anyone have any tips, tricks, do's don'ts? I don't understand why it would...

What is the correct location for this bracket, under the alternator bolt, or next to it with a separate bolt? The separate hole almost positions the bracket to close to the intake manifold water inlet fitting, and would appear to put the heater hose in quite a bind.

Just finishing installing the inner valve springs and need the rocker shaft stud torque specs. Heads are Edelbrock/indy TA's, comp solid .540/.547. not sure of the rocker or shaft manufacturer, but they are 1.6 rollers(blue in color), (3/8?)studs with thick flat washers and nuts.
