Magnum Heads/ LA Block Head Bolts

Is the only reason you need different head bolts is because the magnum uses different bolts? Basically can you use stock Magnum bolts? Or is there actually a special bolt set?

Speaking of Springs for Magnum Heads and Hyd cams.....

Anyone have a recommendation for a valve spring that works on a magnum head with factory head going on a LA block with a hyd flat tappet? I see the Hughes 1110, they have 120# on the seat which to me seems just a touch high, would be nice to find a +.050 retainer as my math says that would...

Power limitations of the early Magnum

Looking at hopping up my truck that is a 92 with a 5.2 magnum. Debating how much I want to try and up this thing and where the giant leaps in money are needed. So curious what are the limitations of the factory keg intake, injectors, and PCM.

    FABO Parts 360 Build

So I get in the habit of collecting parts I want, then they sit, then I get sick of looking at them so that's when I usually end up building something. So I started building this 360 to clean up some projects and I was working on it yesterday when it occurred to me that sans block and crank I...

    Worth it to stud 1,3,5?

Considering building a 340. Block doesnt need to been line honed as it sits, and was wanting to stick with the factory style 2,4 bolts with provisions for windage tray but was debating studding 1,3,5. I know 2,3,4 take the majority of the load, so is it worth the $200 in line hone to stud...

My worst cam degree yet, perhaps in history!

So i was degreeing a camshaft last night; I go through the usual steps, TDC, Dot to Dot, etc. I check the cam via intake centerline method shooting for 106 to 110, and the results were......wait for it.........20! Yes, 20, not 120, 20! I could not believe how far off this was. My go to...

    MP .557 Seat Pressure

What are you guys running for seat/open pressures with your .557 cam. Also, what kind of RPM are you turning? Final question, do you think stock 915 J head valves will withstand the pressure or do I need to step up to aftermarket? :thumblef:
